feed time all over the place - whats going on?

My demand bf'er got herself sorted into a feeding routine - 4hrly in the morning, 3hrly in the arvo, 2 hrly in the evening and was going all night (approx. 9.30pm-6.30am). But now its all over the place - first to go was the all-nighter - she's started waking up again but its so not regular - some nights its after 3 hours, others 5, others 6 - you get the picture. And now her days are messing up - she only went 2 and a half hours this moring instead of her usual 4, yesterday went only 2 hours between her mid morning feed and lunchtime feed. Other times, she has a half then may sleep for a bit, then wake up and want the other half. Last night between 5.30 and 7, she had each side twice!

Any ideas? Is this randonmess normal at this age? Is she ready for solids? (I'm trying to hold off until she's at least 5 months) I'm happy to feed her whenever, but its loss of predictablity that I miss!

    Cheers
    Sam

ETA: forgot to add that its been 2-3 weeks of night feeds again, and the last 1-2weeks of her day feeds being all over the place!

I see from your ticker that this started when your DD was about 4 months, that right...? Babies get up to all sorts of shenanigans at that age and feeding and sleeping habits often change. Is she very distracted? That often interferes with their feeding - they'd much rather be looking around - and then they need to eat more at night to catch up, which messes with their sleep routines.
Also, it's quite typical to only go 2-3 hours between feeds, so not a sign that anything's wrong or that she needs solids yet, I would think.
Hopefully things will settle down again soon.

Every time they reach a new milestone, the eating/sleeping patterns get rearranged. Don't worry! Things will settle down after about 8 months (though they can still be a bit all over the place sometimes).
