OK! the title was a bit silly, but honestly I really do feel like I have the best of both worlds!
This time round, I've been listening to TheStar alot more than her older sister and have realised without even meaning to, that I have been a so-called gentle parent! and am doing-infant led feeding. To be honest is there really any other kind of feeding?? Baby cries, you feed!
Anyway - my question is - I THINK my bubby is getting hungry (she's nearly 6 months) but she's not real good at "eating". Ie. it goes in, weird face pulled, it comes out, it goes in more watery this time, it comes out with even more drool...and so on.
I don't want to accidently wean her, and I don't want her to miss out on iron and nutrients etc.
Any hints or tips? I know you should breast-feed first, but then is there a better time of the day do to feed her? Do I just keep perservering for the next few drooly weeks and eventually she'll get it? What is the harm in feeding her fruit pureed/watered down rather than stinky rice formula?
Yes I've already fed and raised a 4.5 year old but it's rather different this time round, plus that was a LONG time ago.
Thanx in advance.
