Question Do you think this is freaky?

I just gave Jenna a teaspoon of some expressed milk that I had, and she thought it was yummy. My supply is really good, and I'm wondering if maybe I should give her a cup of expressed milk every morning.
Is that making trouble for myself? I would have like to feed her longer than I did, but it wasn't to be, but I'm wondering if this is something I could conceivably manage.
Or is it a bit wierd???

Hehe - I don't think it's wierd at all. In fact, it would be very good for her! No different to tandem feeding, only she's having it from a cup!

If you can manage it, the go for it!!

Its got all the nourishments she needs...and if she likes it then do it! Im sure her brother wont mind sharing mummies milk with her!!

I don't see anything wrong with it if you are happy to do it. It will mean a bit more work to get enough EBM for both of them, but if she will drink it, go for it Fi.

Fi I think that is a great idea. In fact, if I manage to have #2 while Flynn is still little I might offer him some EMB in the early days (I had heaps of milk when Flynn was real little)

Not weird, people are still bf children her age sometimes so nothing wrong with expressing it into a cup. Its healthier than anything else you can give her too.

If she likes it, why not? I don't think it's weird at all... tho I'd be careful who you do tell... we all know how close-minded some people can be about BFing/BM and the like

I wonder if Gabby would have some when Little Bee is born? Hmm... will be interesting to see (also only if I have a good supply of course! LOL).

Noah has asked me for some several times. I told him he wouldn't remember how to drink from my boob (plus I feel a liitle weird about that now) but I did offer to put some in a cup. He declined.

Fi, I don't think it's wierd at all. Yes it will mean more work for you though. Will she take the breast or you'd rather not get her back used to it.

Tehya is still being breastfed now, so obviously I don't see any problem with it at all.

fi oscar still has all breastmilk and he's only 3 months younger, why not it's a great idea, not freaky at all. i agree you could even get her back on the boob if she and you are interested, often weaned toddlers return to the breast when their younger sibling is born. i'm all for breastmilk for bubba's and kids
oh but i guess you guys all know that already

The extra suckling of putting the toddler back on the breast would probably help with supply issues. All depends if they'd accept the breast again or not I guess. I'd happily let them back on the breast - much easier than expressing!

I agree with everyone else! What better, more nutritional drink can she have? Go for it if your supply is up for it.

Paris had an intense fascination with breastfeeding when Seth was born, to the point she wanted to try it. And would keep saying "I wish I could have some". Now it freaked me out a little (I am not adverse to extended BF'ing but a 4 y.o. is a bit much for me ) so I expressed some into a cup and she refused to try it and the fascination ended She still thinks its pretty cool that Seth feeds from me, but she's no longer jealous of it iykwim.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it at all!

    *hugs*
