My DD is almost 8 mths. She had gotten into a routine of 5 feeds a day, sleeping through the night (most times) and eating 3 small meals. Now in since mid Feb she has not slept through the night, has increased to 6 or 7 feeds a day and is getting pretty fussy about her food. After having a pretty good dream run of her sleeping through from 3 wks old, its a bit of a shock for me and I haven't been coping too well. She has also changed her daily routine, but is now working well for me now. Can anyone offer some advice for me? I would love for her to sleep through again and for me not to be panicking about her not sleeping properly
Kane has just started the same thing, but he then cut 3 teeth in one week!! It could be teething waking her up, or maybe more food through the day would keep her full at night? I give Kane 4 little meals through the day cause i noticed he was hungry through the night....hth...
Moglie, this is actually pretty common. There can be different causes, but a common one is all the new stuff they are learning to do. As babies they can stir and go back to sleep. But once they hit the age where they are learning to crawl, stand etc, when they stir they try to practise their new skill and this wakes them up properly. Most of the time it is just a phase and they settle back down. GL, I hope that is true for you.

Also, she's only 8 months old - I know you're getting used to a new pattern, and there's more where that came from She'll need your flexibility from here on in - there are so many changes ahead and if you can learn to embrace it and go with her flow, you'll enjoy what you'll see, instead of wishing for the phases to end...and experiencing her growth via hindsight So, I can only say that living in the now and really absorbing each day is a good way to go, because in 5, 8, 10 years time, you'll wonder what all the worry was about over such a short time frame in her little life
