i'm a little sad, but in some ways feel great that i was able to feed ds until 14months, even through pregnancy. i always said i would let him choose his own end-date, and he hasn't wanted a bf since last sunday. now i'm looking forward to a couple of months break, before starting a new bfing relationship with #2
just one question, is there any chance ds may want to start bfing again when he sees #2 bfing? or is the break long enough that he will be 'over it'?
Well done Rainy! You have done an awsome job feeding your little man. Sorry i don't know the answer to your qn either...... but have wondered the same thing......
He could well want to pick it up again when the baby comes. Once that yummy newborn milk comes in he might want some of it! Perhaps still offer now & then to remind him he's welcome to it. He might just be weaning because he mightn't be getting much during this stage of your pregnancy.
I was thinking more of between now & then. Just to keep reminding him he's welcome to it so he doesn't lose the knack. Guess it depends on why he's weaned. If you think he was ready, then I guess just let it be, but if you think the pg has kinda hurried him then perhaps just keep it open so that when the milk is back in fully he still knows what to do. Does that make sense?
