Nic, well done to you hun!

I worried about the same things when DS weaned earlier this year, he was having about the same amount of feeds. I didn't feel engorged til about four days after his last feed. It then escalated over the next few days, and after a week started to subside. I could tell that there were no lumps or hot spots, so I didn't worry about expressing (I did try after a couple of days, in the shower, but wasn't successful). Your breast tissue actually absorbs the milk (aren't our bodies amazing??? ) so unless you think there is something to be concerned about ie. lumpiness, hot/red areas, you're feeling unwell, you don't need to express. In fact not expressing will help the milk to disappear more quickly. But do watch out for those signs, mastitis is best avoided .
