    Charlotte was feeding herself with a spoon by that age, we also did mostly BLS here and she was fine eating rice.
    I found though if you put some kind on sauce on it it is easier for them to scoop up with the spoon and aslo reduces the choking hazard as the grains are stuck together, and not easily inhaled in such a state

    Yeah, with #3 and #4 they were pretty much eating what we were eating - but in a cut up form etc - by 8 months of age - rice was one of those foods....

    DS here enjoys rice. I have used arborio to make a risotto (no stock, just water, veges and cheese). I have also just mashed a bit into his veges as well. He also like brown rice. HTH
