I haven't suceeded in fasting while pregnant - I gave it a go but the empty stomach gave me awful morning sickness
It does seem much easier this year because the days have been so short and the weather has been so cool. Today was a bit harder but AF arrived about half an hour ago so I had to break my fast early I was really hoping that she would stay away so I could get through the whole month.
    I can't believe we're almost half way - it's gone so quickly.

Not a personal experience of mine but when I was teaching in WA the local Imams daughter was in my class. While discussing her needs for fasting while at school he mentioned his wife was pregnant and was only fasting for two weeks that year due to the pregnancy (I think there were other factors playing into that as well). I am assuming based on what he said it is possible to do things a differently while pregnant? I'm not 100% sure though. Anyway I hope you go ok and are able to get plenty of rest especially since your teaching. That alone can tire you easily without the added demands of fasting .

    oh I see thx hoobley.
Thx for your experience dachlostar, I never feel sick maybe coz I did not have morning sickness

Macca79, fasting is not obligatory on the sick and women who are fasting or breastfasting. We just have to make them up later or feed the poor. But I did research and it does no harm to baby so if the woman feels ok she can fast but does not have to.

Yes teaching is a pretty demanding job but I feel I'm coping ok. Thanks for your feedback

Bx, Eid should fall on the 30th of October this year - dependent on the moon sighting.

    Asalamu alaykum ladies,

I fasted 22 days last Ramadan. I was probably 2 months pregnant. I have only fasted 1 day, sadly, since Ramadan started. I am breastfeeding, so I don't have to fast, if I choose not too.
