I was talking to a delivery boy at work the other day about Ramadan. He was excited as well. He's going on a holiday to Turkey after it has finished.

Did you fast today TD? We follow the moonsighting so hopefully we'll start tomorrow inshAllah.
Everyone is getting so excited. The supermarket was a crack-up today. Everyone was buying dates by the carton. I saw one family with 2 cartons - that must be almost 20 kg of dates - you could feed mosque with that lol.
I found the first mangoes of the season - once Ramadan moves back into winter I'm goig to miss mangoes for desert.
Smart boy. If you were fasting in Turkey now, the fasting ends like at 8-9pm because that is when the sun goes down. They are experiencing their longest days. I do feel sorry for them. It is very hard.
Bron - i did fast today. It was quite alright since its only from 5.30am til 6pm. I did get really cold at about 4.30pm, so i told the kids and DH that i'm taking a nap. I broke my fast and had cup of caramel latte. I had purchased coffee beans today and i had to pull my head away as the smell was just awesome.
i tend to break my fast with an olive. I will have to buy dates tomorrow as i am having an iftar with about 20 women who i invited over. I've been preparing some delicacies tonight and more cooking tomorrow.
Dates..yummo. You have to find some other dessert, Bron!
I hope Allah accepts your fasting Bron, Inshallah. We say that in Turkish, when somebody fasts. I hope the hours fly for you tomorrow as it did for me today.
Man also my son said he was going to start fasting tomorrow. <-- my son typed that.
