Thanks Blanche, yeh sucks i have to wait until next friday for my ring to come back, but the wait will be worth it.
Funny thing is Chris & I talked last year about buying me a ring before he turned 27 and we'd even been looking at wedding stuff to see what was around as we'd just moved to Brissy and then we found out we were going to have a baby and i thought i wouldnt get it and Chris turns 27 next Saturday.
Holy crap, an hour and a half! If only it will be that easy for me, I doubt it will be!

DP and i got a new bed suite today, and it looks HOT!! We also got new doona and bed linen and pillows...and NEARLY had to buy a new mattress...but didnt need to in the end *phew*

Woohoo, Meg for the new bed sheets and pillows. How are they all? I love it when you get to go out a buy new stuff. Joel and I went to Ikea yesterday and bought so much stuff. Just for the house in general + a chest of draws for the baby's room. It looks so beautiful now.

I'm going to Luke's parents' house for tea tonight, they are having a BBQ... Luke has to go to Geraldton to work so it's just little old me really. I don't mind it at the moment, but I'm slowly but surely getting more anxious about Luke going away for work because what if something happens to the baby while he's not here? It's probably just me overreacting.

I have 9 weeks to go, tomorrow im 31 weeks..i cant wait really. I look in my nursery and think 'All i need is a baby' and of course a few small things too. WOW how time flies!!

nothing much going on here, DD had a temp over the weekend, we didnt get much sleep..so took her to the docs today and she has hayfever, shes been happier today and sleeping better so hopefully its going!
ETA- Jo I hope u get ur ring back earlier! at my work they usually get engagment rings back quicker...its such a shame u have to wait

Blanche- sorry to hear your DD had a fever & you didnt get much rest but atleast you know whats wrong with her. I know what a PITA that i had to get the ring sent away, but atleast it will be the right size, i couldnt believe the lady at the shop telling me what was tight on my own finger i said to her look thats still tight and when i take it off my finger it still feels like its on my finger just let me feel what the next size feels like shes was SO reluctant to. She knew it was an engagement ring too but she just didnt seem to care and told me last Thursday is should be back by next Friday and someone would call when it was ready to be picked up, is it normal to be charged for it to be re-sized? they've charged $50.
OMG my sister spun me out tonight telling me shed found an old primary school friend and her brother was in my year and i was TOTALLY smitten with him until he left, he doesnt have his curly mullet anymore HAHA.

well not getting much sleep lately lol, Jaylen was SCREAMING from like 9pm till 1am last night, no idea why, was feeding him like every hour... gets so frustrating sometimes...
omg kass! :p usually the test works about a week after ur period is due i think? or like 3 or 4 weeks after conception... i did mine about 6 days after it was due and the lines were quite dark..hmm not sure what u should choose to do if u are, bella would be what, umm 1 and a half ish when it was born? hmm sorry im no help lol...
well i might head off for a little nap on the couch even though i just got up, Jaylen could have another bad night 2nigt :(
Hi everyone... sorry to worry you all, no unfortunately i'm still here, haven't run off to have a baby yet... :( Getting really frustrated and stroppy and this is now the third day of 35degrees here. Which yes ain't all that much but we haven't had much of a summer (it's been pretty cold - max temps have been 24ish) so i'm suffering when it is hot :(
Nothing seems to be working to get baby moving. Have tried everything that i am comfortable with to see if i can get things going and nothing. Work won't do it, rest won't do it, heat won't do it... am getting to the point where a 'home c-section' sounds like a good idea (ok not really - but just so you get the picture)!
Anthony had a long weekend, it was his RDO and our anniversary yesterday and so i was okay for the weekend while i company and mental stimulation but now i've gone back to slowly going batty. I get excited at every little niggle and pain and then i end up in tears for hoping so much again... at the moment i don't feel like i can cope mentally with this last week... or two or however long it could take. I'm just feeling miserable about the whole situation and im at the point where if bubby turned out to only be an air bubble, i'd be fine with that because at least i'd be myself again. IYKWIM... So girls, any ideas on how i can get through this last week because i am finding it really hard to not burst into a fit of tears every ten seconds at the moment...?
Thought i'd try stay off bellybelly for a bit as everyone's having their damn babies and im not. anyhow, im back again, out of boredom, curiousity, interest, which one im not sure but i dont think ill be the most *friendly* company, sts.

Jo- it varies at different stores/companies if u have to pay for sizing, i didnt...it should be free everywhere for eng rings i recon as usually engangment rings already cost abit! did she say y she was so reluctunt to let u try on the next sizes up?
Jess - sorry to hear u were up abit last night... ahh the memories!! it does get quite frustrating especially once they have been fed, burped, changed etc and they still seem unsettled..hope u have better night tonight.

Depends on the tester. some say 5 days b4 af is due, but most u can do on the day af is due. I cried, then got angry and then i just got used to it. my girls r 15.5 months apart n now i quite like the gap. vent as much as u like hun ;) i have been in that situation.:
Ash- message me ANYTIME day or not i'll likely be awake. Sorry that your feeling the way you are, i dont know what you can do to encourage bubs to come, Sophie came on her own i didnt do any of the wivestales to bring on labour, sorry i couldnt be of more help.

Thanks for the feedback re my nursery :) I got the holder from baby on a budget. DP and i were thinking 'Where can we get something like that?' and totally lost hope not being able to find one, and i was in there the one morning, and walked right into it (literally). There was only one left, so i grabbed it!! I can get the brand name etc when i go back home (im at my parents atm) so you know what to look for, but the lady said that there arent that many around. I was just glad id found it :)
Kass I got a faint pos the day after AF was due...cant tell you how many days DPO that was, i can have a look on my FF chart if i can find it though..Im sure what ever the out come you will manage some how, esp with all our support on here :)

We had a baby snake in our back yard, it is still there, hiding in the bbq, but im staying away coz by the sounds and look of it, it could be either a dugite, or a brown snake, which they are related, and very dangerous, and if i got bitten i wouldnt be able to have antivenom coz it would harm bubby. So im calling some one in the morning to check it out. How unexpected coz our backyard is only a patio and doesnt hold anything to catch the attention of a snake...and im a bit worried there may be a nest in the bbq...but i could be wrong.
Lizjessie - congrats on settin a date for your wedding, now if only we could organise ours...:rolleyes:

Jo - Congrats on the engagement if I havent said it already. Yes it is normal to charge for resising an engagement ring, mine cost $65 to get done and I was told it would be back in 5 days (on the saturday) so we turned up on the saturday & it hadnt been done, then they said they'd call us when it was done and we ended up calling them every week, all up it took 4 weeks to get it back.:cry: We were supposed to get a valuation on it as well. And that was supposed to be sent to our PO Box or they would call when that was ready, 2 months later & still no valuation, rang them and it had been sitting there for nearly a month. Grr!!! eventually we got them both.
I had my 2nd OB appointment yesterday. Apparently alls well, I shouldnt have to worry about my neice having german measles coz I have good immunity & I didnt have much contact with her. (Long story short, saw my 16mth old neice Tues, got phone call Sat, she had german measles, havent seen her since)
Also have my referal for the next US HOORAY!!!!!!!!:dance: So we will find out in 3-4 weeks if its a boy or girl.

It is hard being home by yourself, not to think about things though, I know!!! I hate being home alone, time drags. Try to keep occupied. Clean, clean and then clean some more.....
Had a antenatal check up yesterday at the hospital. Bubby is head down!! WOOHOO!!!!! I was worried that he hadn't moved yet but looks like he has been there some time now without me knowing. Now I know that he is KICKING me in the ribs.....hurts sooooo much sometimes. His heart beat is good and strong and I found out that he gets hiccups quite regularly. I sometimes get this pulsating sensation in my bottom left hand side of my tummy. Joel and I thought that it was the cord wrapped around something getting limited supply to bubba, and we were worried, it happened yesterday while I was at the hospital so I got the midwife to check and she said that it was hiccups!!! Such relief. Also got to see him on the portable ultrasound machine.....def a boy!!! Saw his tackle.....hahahahaha!
Nursery is pretty much set up now and all I need to buy is necessities like baby wash, powder, nappies and things like that. I also need a labor bag packed....it just doesn't seem to be happening.
Anyway, talk more later. Washing to do.
I have a quick question for you all :D im just curious what the first few symptoms you had when your were pregnant & how early you felt them..iv always wondered how early the symptoms (if any) can appear :lol:
really sore bbs, soooooo tired, and going off coffee, needing to drink lots of fluid and needing to lay down all the time.
Also after DTD, a stinging sensation (TMI)
Thats what I had first
REALLY sore boobs, lethargic, no energy at all, going off food, headaches, period type pain around the time that your period is due...but no period
I didn't get these until I was about 10wks except the sore boobs thing....thought my period was coming so I waited around for ages....(found out I was pregnant at 7wks gest)....not even thinking that I might be pregnant, then SURPRISE!!!
OMG!!! I just realized that the baby on my ticker is on the last picture!!!! EEEEEKKK!!!!

Trini - i fell while on the pill so i was oblivious to most of it 'meaning anything' until i looked back on it when i found out. I found out when i was 5w5d, whilst extremely hungover... :redface:.
BUT... when i would have been just on 5w, i went to the doctor, complaining of the following; dizziness, nausea, headaches, feeling faint, & a cold that wouldn't go away (yes apparently that can be symptomatic of pregnancy too). Now the irony is, at this same appointment i told him i was sick of being on the pill as is totally retarded my body and was thinking about implanon - and not for one second did he twinge that SOME of those may have been pregnancy related. He told me, "you have a virus, it will pass...", yes it will pass... in about 18 years and nine months :cryinglaugh:!
I also remember needing to pee all the time, period cramps & bloating, and i broke out in pimples bad, feeling like i was about fifteen again. I also had the mix of sore boobs and i grew two cup sizes out of nowhere :cryinglaugh:.
The boobs thing got me thinking... & I finally twigged that night while i was... off my face... realising that the thought of KFC (like the best drunk food ever) was completely disgusting. Yes, the intoxicated mind works in weird and wonderful ways. Haha, then me and anthony had a crying/yelling/screaming match in the middle of swanston st, which i am very thankful that i do not remember :redface:.
