Thank you for the warm welcome ladies.
Hey Ryn! I was only thinking the other day that I hadnt seen you around! Now I know why, you changed your user name LOL :)
Sally - People can be so rude sometimes! And the annoying thing is they dont understand or wouldnt know that what they are saying hurts. Im 23 and got asked for ID when I went to see a 18+ movie with my girlfriends (AND I was pg)!
Jade - Do you need a new car or is the one you own getting fixed? It must be awful without a car :( I hope you get it storted soon hun. WOW you have 3 boys!! I have a feeling we are going to have all boys (My DH is 1 of 3 brothers). Have you decided on a name for your little bundle??
I cant wait until the weekend, ive got 4 Christmas parties to attend! IM armed with my new camera so ill be taking lots of photographs! Its so exciting having a baby this time of the year.
-
Thanks for reminding me Jade!! Enrollments day is 16/01 and 19/01 so if u can head down there on one of those days the enrollment (which covers toys n upkeep) is cheaper. i think it's $55 for the year and includes PlaygroupSA membership which gives discounts all over the place. Will Email the enrollments chick now ;)
-
Heya all!
Sorry ive been MIA...been working lots and trying to get chrissy shopping outta the way!! Its so hard being PG, with the sore feet, PG brain AND all the crazy shoppers around. Makes me feel like i cant breathe!!
Ive gotta do more shopping today though. Still gotta buy fro Bro, Sis, and half of Mums pressie, and also DP...but i have something small for him already so its not VITAL. And he is being a PITA for not helping me in what i can get him. Grr.
Hope your all well :)
-
Hi everyone!!
Im Rebecca, (or Beck, or Becky......LOL)
I am 23 (24 in June) and I have a 2 year old (well, 2 in 4 weeks!) and a 2 month old. I live in QLD, looking forward to geting to know you all.....
-
Thanks for the warm welcome, ladies!
People are really shocked when I tell them my age, let alone my education level... because apparently having a degree makes you infertile or something. Why does everyone assume that you want to get back into education? I could have happily left school at 16 tbh, just I wanted a medical degree more. Why assume that you're forced out of school at 16? That's just madness.
DH made me buy all his family's presents all by myself.. .well, with DS. DS ended up in the carrier and his pram was filled with parcels. But at least his family have good gifts this year! I just wish he had helped... he's supposed to be wrapping them and still nothing on that front. I'm going to be so annoyed if it isn't done by Monday! That's leaving it too late.
-
HI Beck glad you joined us :)
-
Ryn - half my presents are wrapped, its abit hard to do them with DD around trying to steal everything of the table!! have to get them done today though as we have to give some to ppl tomorrow!!
Welcome Beck!!!
Well gotta go to the shops pick up all the last things before xmas, dreading the busy rush but my fault for not being organised!
-
ahh i cant keep up with this thread as well as my belly buddies one too :p GOD we chat in there :p
welcome beck!
so glad i've finished my xmas shopping, i went to the shops yesterday and it was SOO busy, and yuk hot/wet weather...i came home after about an hr lol...
well i might as well ask this question on here too lol, im stuck with spelling for my lil mans name... 1st it was Jaylen which i still like, but mum said Jaelan last night, she thinks its more 'boy-ee'... ahh! what do people in here think lol
-
LOL sally I felt that way too when PG with DS felt like I should have had a tattoo on my head that read married almost 3yrs tried to get PG for all of them....finely its happened so please dont judge and be happy for me... Didnt help having a high BP so couldnt whare my wedding rings from about 4mth on...
havent been around much I feel too old LOL so thought I would leave you youngins to it but I'm here if you need any advise been there before just further down the track...
-
Hey Jess, Nah I really like Jaylen. Very cute name by the way!
Im totally looking forward to Chrissy this year. My son is almost 2 and understands it this time! He is so excited about Santa and all the pressies under the tree. Its so cute!!!
How many pregnant ladies have we got in here? I feel like I was only pregnant 10 minutes ago, but I cant believe it was already 2 months ago!!
-
I really dislike Jaelan - especially if you 'enunciate' the lan sound...
So yeah i think Jaylen is much better. :)
I think there's six or so of us... i cant keep track.
Jess, Joanne, Blanche, Me, TannedAngel...
-
thanks becky! and thanks ashlea for ur honesty ! :) yep i said that to mum that i dont like the LAN ending, cuz jaylen is said like JAY-LN lol... so LAN doesnt sound or look right :p
-
Welcome Becky!!
Jess, I like Jaylen. It's really nice :) I was going to spell Brendan, Brenden (cos thats how I say it), but when we started getting cards ect everyone was spelling it an, so it kinda stuck :p
Take Care :grouphug:
-
Hi Becky!
Jess, I like the Jaylen spelling. Jaelan looks more feminine to me. As for spellings, we got a Christmas card from a friend - a girl in my small prayer group - for DH, Karen and Samuale... at least she spelt DH's name right!
I wore DH's engagement ring when my fingers started to swell, I was very selfconcious. Needn't to have been, no-one realised until I was overdue!
Tali, you aren't old! Well, if you are, I'll need to leave here soon!
DH got so drunk he was spewing all night at his works do last night... waking DS up each time. Not impressed!
-
HI girls
Jess it is your decision what u call him, not ur mum's kwim. If she doesn't like what u choose then she can have another baby of her own . She has had her chance at naming her children and now it is their turn. meant nicely just hard to put into words that cant b taken the wrong way ;)
DH is being a typical bloke. he came out in spots early in the week n i told him to get it checked. his response: 'nah i'm fine' then 'it could b this/that/some other thing.' so on wednesday at footy training, one of the guys come in 4 a mark with his knee up, hits DH in the rib and it is still hurting. DH has finally decided that he wants to go to the hospy tomorrow n get himself checked out. I've only been saying that all week!!! how MALE!
Ash, hows ur mum? i'm sure if they were born on the 21st, we would know about it now? so i'm guessing she still feels like a whale or some other large animal? ykwim, all heavily pg women feel like it!
-
Haha ali, yes still a whale! :P
She's healthy and bubs are healthy atm, so that's good.
Hospy still says she'll go before the new year though. Will definitely keep you all updated :D
DF went to one of his close friends 'xmas' parties tonight. Neither of us were really up for it, too miserable for parties and drunk people... but he got a message from her with a teary face saying she misses him so i made him go. Now he feels bad for me being home alone, and i was lonely, but she's such a good friend to us i told him he better or else! lol (i dont think im makign sense) So, im just finishing dinner now (this is still normal time for us), hoepfully he should be home in about ten minutes.
Picked up my big bubby layby today. NOw just feel miserable that it has to stay in boxes and none of it can be set up. NOt been up to much else. Just feeling ouchies a lot.
-
Ash, When r u moving? make sur u don't do too much of it coz u don't need to kill ur back or go into prem labour.
-
Ash, the hospy told me that I'd give birth within 24 hrs after my waters broke, and I lasted 2weeks..... I hope you mum can hang on till after the new year!! How far along is she now?
Take Care
-
No idea when we're moving yet. I'm in charge of packing and unpacking - DF is doing the hard work!! I've been getting in trouble just for taking the laundry basket to the laundry. He won't let me get away with anything, lol. :)
Sally - She's exactly two weeks ahead of me. So almost 33 now.
-
thanks everyone, going to spell it Jaylen im pretty sure!
ohh baby's found my ribs ahh oww! lol
-
Ok finally caught up!!!
I like Jaylen, but then again Jayden is nice if you want it to be more brute.
Welcome to Renee, Becky and Caryn!
I'm enjoying QLD. Its raining today which means Dad can't mow but hey, I ain't complaining if it helps break the drought.
Elliebubba is almost in routine!
8 days until I'm 21!!! Ooooh I hope I get to have a good birthday and not a stay at home one. At least this year I'm not pg!
Eating my icecream, lost my train of thought. Oh well.
-
Ash, 33weeks is great, and even if they do decide to enter the world a bit early, they will be stronger and most babies only need a little help breathing for the first couple of hours, some dont have any help! She's also passed the "danger zone" they reckon the worst gestation for babies to be born is between 30-32 as the risk of infection is greater. Fingers crossed she makes it into the new year!!! And also please be careful moving, don't you do anything!!!!
Take Care
-
Hi all..
Thanks everyone for your welcome! :) Wow, there are so many people I have to get to know in here! LOL
BrendansMum - just wanted to say I read your birth story. It was beautiful. Im so happy your little man is doing well now. I really should do a birth story some time while its all still fresh in my mind. But finding time with 2 babies is very hard. LOL
Ash - I really should go back and read threads, but there are so many pages, I would never find the time. So you and your Mum are both pregnant? Thats so exciting! Very cool to think that your little bubbas uncle is going to be the same age as him!
Jess - Jaylen is very nice!!
-
Hi Becky! Sorry i missed all the welcomes :( So here's a belated one!!! :)
WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oK. I am a loser ^_^ - Yes, mum and i are both pregnant - she was trying on ivf and mine was a... 'welcome surprise' - and conveniently landed myself due only two weeks after her. :)
I'm really excited - It's going to be good to go through it together - but she won't have too much time to help though seeing as she's going to have twins. Oh my goodness i'm so tired now, i feel so sorry for her once they pop along...
-
WOw Ash thats fantastic! How exciting for you both! Babies are so much fun............ Do you have a lot of siblings already?
I hope everyone has a fantastic Xmas tomorrow anyway! Im so excited cause my little boy really understands it this year! And the first with my daughter! YAY!
-
Jeepers! i don't come online for one night and i come back to 2 whole new pages! hehe
Welcome Becky!!
I had a very interesting offer from my father-in-law last night. We don't ever see him, he's not a very family type person i guess. We lived with him for a while before getting our own place and i was at odds with him a lot.. but we are civil and he gets along fairly well with DH, much better then his other kids.. anyway, we were complaining about our stupid car situation and he said he was going to get a new car soon and that we could have his old one. I'm not sure whether to be excited about it or cautious. its not so much that we'd owe him or anything, its more the fact that we have to have a working car really soon no matter what and have no idea how long he's gonna take to do this. We've just come into some money that would enable us to fix our old car but then we don't even really know if its fixable. also his car prolly uses more fuel. It runs well but its also old... I guess i'm also trying to look at the long term benefits aswell.
And of course there's the fact that we never see him, like ever so not really sure what to make of it all, its all caught me a bit off guard, i'm so used to doing just about everything for ourselves and not really getting help from anyone.
Maybe i should just be happy about it and start relaxing hehe.
so so busy! it never ends! got 3 sets of people to see over this week and each one i'm cooking half the meal or all of it so i've got so much to remember, take this out of the freezer at this time on this day, put that in the fridge then, have this ready by that time, that sort of thing hehe
I'll likely be offline over the next couple of days too, though i'll try to get on to see how everyone is.
Merry Christmas guys!! :D

-
WOW Ash, Congrats to your Mum! Was it Xmas day?
And with 9 weeks to go, Id be looking at getting packed soon.... LOL. I was always packed about 6-8 weeks in advance with my littlies. You never know..... Have you got names picke dout yet? What are the twins names??
-
Ok Ash, stupid blonde me actuallly just read your thread! Congrats again.....
-
Our little boy is going to be names Alexander, but we're undecided on middle names, have a few picked out but still a while to decide. I think now that chrissie is out of the way i'll be off to do some mummy shopping for hospital just in case - especially with mum's history of four week premmies. If im anything like her ill go around 36wks and my labour will be over in eight hours at most LOL.
-
Yay congrats Ash!!! hope they can get out of nicu n scn soon and enjoy having a nephew close to them!! they get a public holiday every year!!! lucky girls! Ur mum will find that the boxing day sales will b great to take them 2 when they r teenagers! they will chose their presents n not have to have them wrapped!
