26th December 2007 - My Twin Sisters Have Arrived!

Despite mum asking them to please not make their appearance yesterday, or today (boxing day sales is her favourite shopping day every year!), the twins have made their safe arrival this morning.

    S T-J born 5:45am weighing in at 1600gms
    C J-J born 5:53am weighing in at 1670gms
(sorry message i got had the wrong lbs & oz so i'm not putting it in!)

After a short four hour labour (waters broke 1:50am), born at 33+1wks gestation, they had a little difficulty breathing on arrival, but are now okay and in the safe care of the SCN at Melbourne Royal Women's Hospital.

Both Natural Delivery, but due to TTTS early in the pregnancy they had to adminsiter the epidural anyway, to ensure that if a c/s was needed that it was working!

Thought i should announce it as many of you do ask how my mum's pregnancy is going as well!

Prama - sure can't - i'm going to oooh and ahh all over them and do little excited dances and then think, hang on this will be me in two months, haha!

I just spoke with Mum, Charli is actually in N-ICU on a CPAP machine as she's having trouble breathing on her own. Mum's feeling a bit sorry for herself because she's just given birth but can't cuddle them or anything.
We're going to visit tomorrow - thought it best to let her have some space today, but i'm so excited i just keep squealing every now and then. I've wanted baby sisters for years and years and years!!!
