Jeeez this thread is hard to keep up with!

Tat! Glad your DP is doing *something* at least. Better than nothing.

~Heavenly~, DF is the same. I dont' think I have ever received a birthday present on my birthday. It's always a couple of days before. He can't keep a surprise to save himself :P
If DF complains about me taking all his money he's got a problem! My pay goes on the house repayments and reno saving, and his money is general "living" money. When he ever has a dig at me spending "his" money I just tell him to move out of my house There comes a time when you have to realise that being a team is going to get your further that splitting everything, I think.

Gothmum, sorry to hear about your mothers day, mine wasn't to flash either if it makes you feel any better. I slept most of it away and had a mini tantrum when DF woke me up to go to his parents for dinner for mothers day.... speaking of family's getting along and different up bringings, I could probably write a novel!
Sounds like your DH is being a bit of a b*tch too! Must be his man rags haha, i swear they get them more often than we do!

haha, oh well better late than never! My mothers day is being postponed to next friday (Jayvan's due date) so I dont get mine til then either - we're just going out for a fancy dinner - above tantrum was for all DF's family buying me a "mothers day present' which I didn't particularly want to be made a fuss of - I know they mean well - so Df didn't buy me anything to save his neck I know, I'm horrible.

Donna - I was like why did buttface get blanked out...OHHHH lol what a doodle, I think its cause its finally dawning on him that there will be 2 kids and its his primal fight or flight urge kicking in!dontcha sometimes wish we had tape recorders for stuff like that..we weren't planning ours at all but DP knew full well I wasn't on the pill so when he says he did it for me I have a go at him!
Haha see im a derro but I KNOW im a derro and don't care
Yeah my folks are pretty well off and DP hates that my mum is forever buying us stuff/offering to help with money etc...like my baby shower everyone bought little presents, my mum bought a tumble dryer he's grateful but it gets on his goat!! And mum gives me $50 a week to do her ironing even though she could get an ironing lady to do it for half that but she can afford it and likes helping me out so now I just say im going 2 my mums instead of im going 2 do ironing so he doesn't have a sad hehehe

Teagz: yeah me and DP do it the other way round he pays rent and I pay groceries so when he buys himself something off ebay I try not to have a go at him cause the rent is a lot more than food... but its annoying cause he has a lot more disposable income than me...in fact once I start gettin centrelink ill hav nothin left each week...boo!

    hey girls,

emma- agree full with you about pete, gaea does very well and pete also does help with mya but finances i think are alot more important at this stage.
my dp and i share all of our money and we always have. i dont know why we started but i think we find it easy so then we dont fight about who spent more or who deserves more. my centrelink payment is enough for 1 weeks rent so every fortnight that comes out of our account and straight on rent and his pay and my pay just go on bills, other half of rent, groceries and little bit of spending if we can afford to.
billy sometimes gets upset with me because my family are quite well off and sometimes i feel a bit bad at how easy i got it. my dad bought me a brandnew car for my 17th and has always helped us financially. his mum couldnt afford a place to live so they lived on a friends property in a caravan for a year. but i think it has opened my eyes and really made me appreciate money and family soooo much more. especially being in the situation now where we live week by week with money.
    anyway....
had my second ultrasound today, baby looks great, the heartrate was 155bpm and was measured at 12w6d so 3 days ahead of dates.
i think its a girl, just have a feeling.

hahah i remember having that fear with Maddie, my mum called when i was in labour and it was like 2 in the morning and she was like "amy, i just had the most horrible dream, you had the baby and it was a boy and you have all your pink stuff" haha then after i had maddie she goes" the other part of the dream was that it was a black baby" that obviously wouldnt be right considering billy and i are both white. lol i thought that was quite funny
