i think ive started nesting lol...but so early , i hope its normal and not a sign she will come early......im 23 weeks in 2 days so im getting closer to that "ok if born early" stage which is a relief i just hope she stays in longer than her brother.....

Thanks girls, it was very scarey and im still a bit shaken by it. i dont want her to sleep in her room tonight. im scared something else could happen. its really freaked me out. i keep crying about it. im also scared to tell the real estate agent coz were behind in our rent.

Sally- Didnt get her checked out, i ummed and aahed about it but she was quite hidden from the smoke, she was crouched behind the door and the change table. she seems completely fine. do you think i should? or is there anything i should be looking out for? i think it was more of a shock than anything.
Indi- What are you studying? how far through it are you? im thinking i might go back and do my TEE (i finished yr 12 but didnt do TEE) and go to uni. in a few years though. i dont know what ill study, maybe psychology. i want to work with young mums though so ill have to see whats out there.

Amy- Maybe just wait for a bit until you tell the real estate? Is the damage bad? You would be fine to get into Uni. I went to Year 10 and had Elijah at 17.To get in I wrote a PCS (personal competency statement), and included work experience and certificates and courses I had done in the past as well as life experience. Im In my first year of a Bachelor of Nursing Science. I love nursing but its so stressful the workload and juggling parenting. I've been on hol's for 5 weeks and I am kind of dreading going back tomorrow. When I get stressed out I have massive panic attacks which makes exam time hell! This semester I am on 2 days prac in hospital and 2 full on days at uni. Tomorrow I will be there 8am till 6pm :( If you want to work with young mothers I'm sure you will find a course that will suit. I went to a young mothers support program when the kids were born and they were great...if I had to choose another career I would do the same kind of work. It made such a huge difference having them their to arrange pregnancy groups,play groups, outings, information, support and all the rest. I guess the great thing about being young mums is we still have all the time in the world to get our careers on track :)
The DP and I have had a conversation tonight about moving in together...it is to be continued when he returns from work next week. Its a big step but exciting.It will save all the travelling!
Well might go heat up my wheat pack like a little old lady and get some shut eye :P

I'm another newbie to this thread :D I just turned 24 and am loving being a mummy. Finding it a bit hard to relate to my friends atm - we all went to uni together and they don't really understand and have no intentions of having kids for at least 5 years.
I have a friend from work who had her bubba one month after me and i love our weekly catch ups. Does anyone else have issues with their friends?
funkeefrog- i know what you mean, ive been with df since i was almost 16 and my friends cant understand it they are like "live your life" etc and cant understand why i want kids now and i have no one to relate to :( but you got everyone on here and that keeps me sane :)
tell me about it, lol. I got some bad reactions from friends when i told them i was pregnant so ended up just letting them think that it was unplanned and that i was one of those people who got pregnant whilst on the pill.
Hey how exciting having lots of new ppl.....im 24 in nov so will have 4kids for my bday lol.....i only finished year 10 too but dont really have the patience or maturity to stick to study i tend to freak and shut down when things get hard...maybe one day i will get it done

I have a pretty good group of friends that understand I the kids are number one priority so I'm pretty lucky. I seem to has a wide range of friends from the age of 18 to 39 so Its quite a variety. Dating was a different story! Do you go to a playgroup or anything?I'm sure you will meet some people on here also. I met one of my now best mates on a baby site ages ago when my son was a few months old and we met up for coffee and over four years and both have had another child each we are still really close. anyway I could blab forever but I have to go down my coffee and get ready for uni puney.

Indi, I am in Caboolture, on the Southern end of Sunshine Coast (was in Beerwah until end of January) so if you ever want to catch up. I don't drive though so it'd have to be a fairly accessible place :)
Heavenly, I think I am not meant to be a studier either. Went to year 12, spent 5 years in uni flitting between 4 different courses, never feeling like what i was studying was 'it', and also just freaking out once the pressure is on and due dates start looming. I have dropped it this year. I might take it up later but for now uni just isn't for me and I'm completely fine with that!

I better make a doctor's appt while I boil the kettle hehe. I could have done it over the weekend but I was laid up with one of those disgusting 24-hour viruses, jumping out of bed throwing up every half hour :( At least DH was home and (*gasp*) didn't complain about looking after the girls by himself hehehe.

Im still friends with all of of my firends but i also find that they dont really get it. they dont understand why i cant go out with them every weekend. but ive never been a party person, ive always been happy to have a couple of friends round and have a couple of drinks rather than go night clubbing. why dont you invite them round for a couple of drinks so they can see you havent changed and your not going to change but your life is different to theirs and you still want them to be your firends.

Indi- Hope uni goes well today! no the only damage to the house is a bit of burnt carpet. but thank god, Billy is a floor installer and lays carpet and can get it really cheap so im going to tell the real estate agent we will replace the carpet ourselves. instead of having it taken out of our bond, if possible.
I also have loved the support i received when i became a young mum. i want every young mum to have so much information, lots of services and support available to them. lots of young mums feel like they are the only ones, but there are so many of us out there.
Skittlebub- yes the law is the same here, all rental houses legally have to have a smoke alarm. thats why i have been asking them. i hate renting.
Donna- cant beleive Hayley is almost 2 months. all of the bubs are growing so quick.
today im gonig to buy a lotto ticket because i feel very lucky that the fire wasnt any worse and also because i beleive it is about time that we had a bit of luck our way, maybe just a couple of grand would be nice lol. i have been feeling really depressed lately. we are having real financial problems. i feel like it was the wrong thing to have antoher baby. my car is so broken, and i have been quoted 5000 dollars to have it fixed so were going to try to fix it ourselves. yesterday scared me alot and now i feel like we shouldnt move to that house because maddie will be so far away from us. i ended up bringing her into our bed last night because she kept waking up, maybe having night mares. i feel so quilty, i should never have left a heater in her room. i thought it would be fine turning it off at the wall but obviously my monster is too smart.

i think im going to start seeing a counsellor again, i have had depression in the past, but it feel different this time.

sorry i have been MIA, have broken up with DP (well now XP i spose) and was in the Mother Baby Unit for close to 4 weeks with PND/anxiety. am now staying at my mums, moving in with a friend and her lil girl in a couple weeks and have been very busy with social worker/psych/doc appts, centrelink and homeswest and child support, etc etc!!!
But am now on meds and doing quite well, Jade is growing well and sleeps pretty good thru the night (usually 9pm to 5 or 6am with a dream feed around 11pm)...please dont think i forgot you all, just been super busy and trying to look after myself.....hope u r all well!

tattoo mama- nice to meet you. It sounds like you have had a rough trot but its good you have taken all the right steps. I get anxiety and panic attacks so i can empathise with you in regard to that.
Uni was horrible I had 8 hours with a 2 hour break than i had a huge fight with the kids dad who seems to think that by having his children once a week he is doing me a favour ( when realistically he is their parent so its not like I owe him anything for spending time with his kids). So frustrating grrrr

Well very happy I received one out of two eBay wind today both baby clothes and they were great I have so much from eBay and opshops, going to target to layby got sheets next week hopefull

Dh is looking at moving up north a lil for a job for a couple months until he can get an E class liscence and a cheap car...I know we need the money but I'm starting to have slot of pubic pains when walking and putting on pants and back pain so I'm not enjoying the timing but I know he's been looking really hard the last 6 months and a jobs a job
I would love a new car. My little blue beast is at the mechanic getting fixed (starter motor went).I need it back!!It horrible having no care when I rely on it so much. Is it hard to park your new car ..I'm guessing its a deal bigger than your last lol? Awww I hate it when they have to work away :( It would be worse being in your situation and having a baby on the way.

Heavenly- thats great that hes thinking of going up north for work its good pay. just make sure it what you want too. Billy went when i just had maddie and i ended up with PND because i couldnt cope with not having someone to talk to at the end of the day.
alot of woman can cope but im just saying that if your not completely comfortable with it, it might not be a good idea.
what kind of work does he do? if he is thinking of working away there is a labour hire company that you prob know of called Skilled. billy used to work for them on the railway and would work 11 days on 3 days off. but now they are doing the train line down in pinjarra or soemthing so its not as far away and i think they are home every weekend. it was quite good pay. any way a guy called Damian was the guy who hired billy. if you need any more info i can try to get you some.

yeah i got a 01 chrysler voyager they had it reduced to 9990 from 14990 and they had to take of an xtra 500 so i could get the loan and they gave me 5000 instead of 4000 for my vx commodore but if you saw the condition the kids left it in i was very happy with 5000 lmao...my payments have only gone up 4 a fornight and 20 a month for insurance so i now have a 7 seater so its very exciting....
found a high chair and cot sheets in the classifieds too lol now if i can find a cheap set of draws and some blankets in a couple weeks i will be laughing...im picking up my twin pram with toddler seat i found this arvo and was only $250 which is really good

i need to buy a couple of things for bub too. i need another car seat, another high chair (mine is a crappy one from ikea and maddie jumped out of it 3 times when she was younger even though she was strapped in) and im going to buy 2 baby monitors one for maddies room and one for baby's room.

Amy - We have a first years high chair that clips onto a normal chair & its fantastic, it reclines for a younger baby & the you can take the tray off & use it as a booster seat at the table when they are toddlers. We paid aroung $50 for it but its a Winnie The Pooh one, but you can pick up the plain ones on sale for $30-$40
Well we had Miss M's 1st birthday party yesterday & she had a ball. She also had the best nights sleep last night since she was 3 months old. She only woke up once & slept through a thunder storm.

Hey all, well as some of you know ive been shopping a bit lately....classifieds though lol im a bargain hunter hahaha anyways lost on some draws last night then 30 min later found some wicked ones only $10 more so i got those this morning very excited...so i also got a pink highchair on the weekend ,my pink bouncer,and twin pram with booster seat not to mention all the clothes i keep getting on ebay lol...even when i say i have enough i still keep seeing more bargains lol....i dont think ive paid retail for anything exept the capsule i laybyd and that was on sale......my step mum is giving me a cot sometime soon but im trying to figure out how to fit all this in my room lol oh well and she is getting a new stereo put in my car on thursday instead of getting me a pram coz i already got one so will be happy to upgrade...i didnt know 01 cars even came with cassette players as standard lol
hope everyone is well...16 weeks left for me but im leaning more towards the 13 weeks side i hope hehehe

how come you dont have a highchair, cot etc from the first 3 kids? or did you think you wouldnt have anymore and gave it all away lol.
im getting everything off ebay and classifieds ads so im saving heaps of money...i got bulk clothing packs on ebay and just keep looking...i have one highchair for hunter but we only have a 4 seater table and its pink lol but was only $50 so a good bargain

how is everyone? I've been really busy, sorry I havent been in much. Brendan is on his last doses of Antibiotics, he had a throat infection and both ears too.
Nigel is home from work, he tore the ligaments in his knee on Sunday. I wish he'd go back to work already though! He is driving me nuts!!
He asked when we were going to get married.... and I really dont know! I want to eventually... well it doesnt matter when, tomorrow is good lol.... I have a dress, but there is no way I would fit it now. I was roughly 65kg when I bought it, and I'm 90kg now...
I think it might be my incentive though. I feel fat... and really need to lose at least 10kg.

oh i just typed a whole message and i dont know what it did but it went back somehow grrrr. so ill say it all again but very breifly.
im up in perth at the moment seeing my family and firends because i needed to get away from all the stress of everything in my life down south. we are moving in two weeks and even thinking about it is stressing me out so bad i just want to run away and hide. the doc said my depression prob has returned so im off to see a counselor soon and he wants to put me back on meds if it doesnt work.
my pelvis has been hurting alot lately with baby but i dont know if its the baby sitting on it or if its me doing too much and stressing out that is doing it so thats another reason im trying to have a break.
Sal- that is great that he wants to know when your getting married, i wish billy would think about it soon. he is happy to wait.
dont worry the wait will come off soon enough you will be a beautiful bride anyway.
Heavenly- glad ultra sound went well and have added you to face book so will look at the photos.
