Accidental double dose metformin... HELP!

Hi. I am 3 days post Day 3 transfer. Had a really crappy night and this morning, in my sleep-deprived stupor, I accidentally took two Metformin (XR slow release) tablets. So I've had 4 in just over 12hrs. Should I ring the clinic or hospital or will it be ok? I feel like such an idiot!!!

What dosage are you on?

I take three (1500mg) within 12 hrs every day. I suspect you will just get diarrhea. It should be fine.

I was going to say. You might have a yucky tummy but other than that its fine

Thanks guys. Contacted the clinic, feeling like a total fool. They said not to worry, it happens all the time. No issue, just to take one only.

No real side effects... Yet!
