Hi
It's not that uncommon with first cycles as it can take a bit of trial and error to get the dosage/medication right. Hopefully they've learnt enough to do better next time It is a real blow to have a cancelled cycle.
I haven't had it happen personally, but some of the lovely ladies in the LTTTC & AC thread have.... maybe join us over there and someone will have a few tips.... there are a few of us in the middle of cycles at the moment....
FX is doesn't get cancelled on you - but if it does, there may be a chance of a frozen embryo transfer (FET) if they can collect the eggs that are growing now....
As my turn said, it can be hard to get the right med dosages. I had my first transfer cancelled because of over stimulation and was absolutely devastated but have since gone back for another two FET. Still waiting for my BFP (but maybe this time FX). The LTTC thread my turn mentioned is an amazing group of supportive ladies. Take care hun.
Yes, my first cycle was cancelled. I had about 12 eggs then next u/s showed more eggs but none maturing and my hormone levels were dropping instead or increasing. The first few cycles can be difficult b/c it really is a bit of a 'lets see how you go' sort of thing. They don't really know how you are going to respond to the meds. FWIW, my second cycle was successful with 8 eggs, 7 fetilised and two made it. We had one implanted and I am 20 weeks pg. They doubled my dose of Gonal F (from 150 to 300).
I don't know of any methods to increase your estrogen levels & given they have cancelled, they will just wait for your period to come now. My clinic doesn't do back to back cycles either, so you should check when you can cycle again. Best of luck
