With my 'booking in' appt, the nurse literally went through everything with me... what the meds are for, how to inject them, what happens in the lab, costs, filled out all of my paperwork etc etc.
It's pretty overwhelming, but everything starts to fall into place when you get home and can sit down and look through everything in your own time.
She also gave me my schedule, dates for all of my BT's and scans, EPU and transfer day.
You won't need to take anything with you, but you'll leave with a tonne of paperwork.
Ewie? Never heard of it I'm afraid. Could it have been 'icksee'? Which in IVF terms is 'ICSI' - where they inject the sperm into the egg.
