Okay. Today I had an appointment with my FS who said something which confused me. Previously she has said that my failed IVF attempts are likely due to egg quality (age related). Today, she went over some recent blood test results and my FSH was 2.5. My AMH is about 17. Great numbers on paper but I respond poorly to stimming. I mentioned this to her and she said the FSH is an indication of the quality of eggs....what the???!!!! I have not heard this before and why, if I have such good quality eggs, do I have such bad quality eggs??? Iykwim!!!!
Women with higher AMH tend to have a better response to stims, and have more eggs retrieved.
Analagy (which I am sure you know) : FSH is like an exelorater pedal in a car, if your body thinks your running outa eggs, it puts the pedal down, and creates more FSH, to create more eggs. You know we are only as good as our worst FSH test.
The results and her conclusions seem a little odd, can you ring her and re discuss
