Hi iv been reading up on natural foods that might help implantation and i got a fair bit of feed back from google, it says it help with implantation if you eat the core of the pineapple? Has anyone heard of this or tried it?
Hi oneday, I have never heard of this but it certainly can't hurt to try. I could think of much worse things to eat in order to aid implantation. Have you looked at acupuncture? Lots of positive results there with a number of studies backing this up.
yeah i thought it was wierd but when i googled it it seems lots of ppl have tried it? Jaslie im also going to try acupuncture this cycle too aswell as excercising and eating healthy im giving this embie the best chance i can. Thanks ladies xx
I researched it a bit as I had heard that the acids (I think, it was a while ago) help with uterine toning, in the same way as raspberry leaf does. This means that it can be beneficial both just prior to conception (for implantation) and prior to labour (for contractions). That said I couldn't find any hard evidence as is the way with most natural conception (and induction) ideas. My vote would be to try it, can't hurt!
Oh & it has to be fresh pineapple, the canning or drying process removes the necessary bits to make it work. Does that make sense?
Bring on the pineapple!!! Fresh is soooo much nicer anyway, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Wantaminime The Acupuncture IVF Support Clinic website is a good place to start with regards to checking out research. They have lots of abstracts from research papers on their website, which definitely makes for easier reading. Also if you google IVF + acupuncture + research you should come up with a bit.
