    Diet whist doing IVF?

    Hi ladies,

DH and I have finally embarked on our first IVF ICSI cycle. The FS never said anything about diet. Is there anything specific that you did?

    I have cut out:

    Soft Drink :-(
    Coffee :-(

I dont eat as much sugary stuff as I was before and just trying to eat lots of fruit and veg and drink plenty of water.

Is there anything that your FS told you to stay away from?

All the best on your journey xxoo

I was super healthy throughout my IVF cycle. I took fresh royal jelly, liquid fish oil, no caffeine, no chocolate etc. I never eat fried food anyway so that wasn't an issue. I ate full fat dairy though - apparently good for ovarian health.
I agree with Miss K though, keep your protein up just in case of OHSS. My clinic told me to drink sustagen to help with OHSS - a glass of this in milk a day and I was fine!

My FS never commented on diet. Water is super dooper important. Drink lots. I know you said you are already - so that's good! And it's a good habit for when you are pg and bf too.

There is nothing much your DH can do - his sperm was made months ago.

All the best with this cycle.

I think if your diet is unhealthy to begin with, then improving it can only be a good thing.
Though my diet is far from perfect, I didn't change anything.
    Good luck!
