with a HRT cycle, there is no definitive "O" date to base everything on, so they can drag it out with the progynova as long as needed to get the ideal circs - then they start the progesterone supplements on the theoretical O date and do transfer based on that
i know it's hard when everything is up in the air like this, but don't worry about the details like cycle day - as long as your lining is thick enough and prolific (not patchy) you're fine to go ahead whenever your hormone levels are where they need to be
No, I wasn't medicated. They just did blood tests through the cycle to check where I was at, and then I had two U/S to check the endo, which was a little sluggish. in fact, the ob/gyn said at the first scan my endo was 'B grade'!! he changed his mind 3 days later.
I was a little concerned as the courier hadn't come with the trigger & i thought i'd miss my O, but the nurse reassured me that if that happened they would use the hormone levels to calculate a transfer date.
BG, thanks for sharing. It helps much to know and be reminded that a medicated FET is afterall a controlled cycle and hence, the desired hormone readings and uterine condition would have to be presented before I could get nearer to my ET date. Yes, nurse did mention that I will probably be starting my progesterone pessaries sometime after my BT/US tomorrow.
I'm trying to be patient and positive again for unnecessary stress like this is a real 'No No' during the treatment cycle.
Wonder how did the Doctors decide on whether one should go on a natural or medicated FET. Perhaps, a patient's age would be a criteria for consideration?
Entreat, it must have been nerve breaking for you to be awaiting for the courier. At least Karlgoolie has the facilities for U/S. We live in Karratha and even if I am eligible for a natural FET, I would still need to be in Perth for the cycle treatment.
Regarding the endo grading, any idea what is that? I saw on my last 2 scans result slip that it was a 'C' for mine.
yes - at least we do have a ob-gyn here... as 'different' as he is. Do you find getting your blood tests to Perth difficult? Mine seem to miss the courier all the time. And the pathology center has a policy of denial... "oh no, your blood definitely made the courier...".

Page three has the grades. I never knew! I couldn't tell any layers on the screen!
My transfer date for my HRT FET kept getting pushed back due to poor response to the Prognova (my lining just did not want to thicken). My dose kept having to be increased and my FET finally happened 21 days after I first started on the tablets.
My embie was frozen at day 3 and by the time it was transfered it was a beautiful 6 cells... Now my little embie is currently asleep in her cot and is an amazing 6 months old!
So I wish you all the very best with your cycle... I will be praying for a BFP for you.
Hi Entreat, thanks for the link. Asked Ultrasonist about the grading and was told C is the best. How interesting, I thought like an academic grading, A would be the ultimate. By the way, I made a mistake, mine was B all this time. No fret, my uterine lining and blood test had both increased and transfer is scheduled on next Wed. Fingers crossed that the FE will thaw nicely.
All this time, during my treatment, I have been staying in Perth from the day that U/S is needed .... so has no experience of having to rush the local Pathology Dept to expedite blood result. Nevertheless, did hear from clinic's nursing manager that it has always been a common worry for those who had to conduct test out of Perth due to delay in courier.
