I did a natural FET straight after my first IVF. There were no meds prior to transfer - I just went in for monitoring and we waited for me to O. After the transfer I was on 2x200mg progesterone pessaries daily. My FS said they were probably unnecessary, but he'd give them to me anyway. I think it's probably good he did because my LP is usually shorter after an IVF cycle.

I think if you do a medicated FET you don't ovulate? I liked having another chance for our cycle to work with the natural FET.

Hi there - I had a HRT FET like Mrs P. I had Progynova tablets also in the lead up to transfer to thicken my lining. It took quite a while and they had to keep upping the dose as my lining was not responding, but eventually it got there. Just prior to transfer I started taking the progesterone pessaries (2 a day - 1 in morning and one at night).

This HRT FET has resulted in my beautiful 8 month old daughter. As Mrs P mentioned, you have to continue on the Progynova and pessaries until your placenta takes over the nourishment of your baby - I took them up until I was 10 weeks pregnant.

I had to have a medicated FET as I have PCOS and a very irregular cycle. I think the FS decides which way to go depending on how regular your cycle is.

    Best of luck!
