A friend of mine had this happen. Turned out that she had a whopping great big fibroid blocking her cervix so they couldn't get through. She did have one transfer under GA before having a myomectomy to remove the fibroid.

It doesn't necessarily mean you'll have something like that - some people just have a tricky cervix.
