have started bleeding after positive blood test is it normal

hi,
I am new to theis forum me and my husband have been doing icsi and we only got one emby out of 8 so its our little lucky one!!
last friday i got a positive blood test and on saturday after having intercourse with my husband i started bleeding lighly (roughly half pad a day) its now tuesday and i am still bleeeding and have some mild cramping now and then i have a clot the size of a tiny freckle nothing over that but the weriod part it all stops by 4pm in the afternoon, i called my clinic and they are saying it can be normal but they are sending me for a nother blood test, has anyone else had this happen to them? i have done 3 home preg tests and they are all positive so i am hoping that is a good sign.....

please i would like to talk to other women in the same boat (sorry about the details)

I am sorry you are going through this worry when it should be very exciting times. And congratulations on your pregnancy.
I am in the process of starting IVF down the track and from what I read yesterday in my IVF book from IVF Australia it says up to 55% of ART pregnancies have light bleeding and should not cause undue concern unless associated with increasing abdominal pain. I am just quoting out of the book and thats what it says.
Maybe get another BT done to see the rise in HCG. If its rising accordingly that might help relieve some anxiety til you can have a scan. Hope its just a scare. Lots of sticky vibes to you

i did ivf in January and found out i was preg jan 25 and the next day when i woke i had spotting. Talking to the ivf nurse they said it could have been old blood or implantation bleeding. then at 6.5 weeks i had another bleed this one was bright red in color and also had a little clot, had an ultrasound and found a heart beat. Good news is im now 9 weeks 4 days so try not to stress yourself out too much but i do understand your worry. Hopefully your body is just getting rid of exess blood. And i think (not positive) you can have a period in early staged.
