We will be facing the same decision I think next week with FS. I feel the same as you about the intervention side of IVF, yet the success rates of IUI makes me think of heartache as well. One of my friends did both and had success first time with IVF - which I know does not happen for everyone, she says in hind sight she should have just gone straight to IVF, as the disaapointment with IUI made her a bit depressed.
But as we know with everyone's journey there is not magic button so you need to trust your own instincts and perhaps the more people that post in her their view may make you a bit more informed!
