I am with MIVF. The Women's is run by MiVF too, but it is cheaper because it is public.

The main differences are continuity of care (as far as I can tell). You have a different specialist each time - whoever is on 'duty', rather than use your own FS. At least, that's my understanding. Oh, and of course, the waiting list.

I don't mind going public if it means we can achieve our goals of trying IVF.

I'm just getting really depressed as we get so close to having the money there and then something happens and it all disappears.....not to mention the fact that I don't want to be much older than I am now.

Just been quoted 8700 for Melbourne IVF for ICSI and my cycle has extras......Royal Women's Hospital will be cheaper. Good luck

No IVF is the only option. Vasetomy was done approx 15 years ago.
The only specialist that has said they COULD reverse the vasetomy quoted $12,000 to do it....so it works out cheaper to use IVF even at the Monash IVF quoted price of $11,000!

I've sent them a email via their contact us link - at this time it's a little difficult for me to talk verbally as I'm at work. Hopefully, they can provide a information pack or something for me to look over at night and work out all the questions I need to ask before making a call.
