HI TimeforaFamily,
It's a good idea to have a break as IVF drugs stimulate your ovaries such that pregnancy or further meds (not in your case) may place your body under undue stress that isn't ideal for a pregnancy to be sustained. I know you just want to get back into it, but consider it a forced break for your ovaries and uterus to get ready for your new bubba next month! With regards to thawing, I asked this question and the embryologist told me they know about 30 minutes after they thaw if it's going to be OK (the cells are brown-ish if they have died). So if more than 50-60% of the cells are OK (your clinic will have it's own 'rules' on this) then they will thaw another embryo and watch for another 30 minutes. If it's OK (which the vast majority are) then they will leave the embie in it's culture until the transfer time, watching intermittantly to make sure it's OK for ttransfer. Hope this helps!
Remember - they are doing this because they want you to get pregnant and have a healthy and happy pregnancy - but I know the wait seems bad, it can be good to have a forced break to ready your brain for another 2WW xxx
