Hi Soph,
Firstly, that's very cheap!!! Is that your out of pocket expenses? I know my antagonist cycle cost over $5000 up front, plus hospital costs, drugs etc..., and we only got our Medicare rebate back AFTER the cycle finished.
Anyway, forgive me for asking such basic questions but I assume you and DH have had other tests done (bloods, semen analysis etc) to rule out other causes and this is why your FS has suggested the $700 test? And if they do find damage and/or scarring is there nothing they can do other than straight to IVF?
IVF is not easy - if I could have avoided it I would have, but DH had severe sperm issues and we had to go straight to IVF/ICSI as we had zero chance of conceiving naturally. I hope this doesn't sound patronizing or rude, but given your age, I think I'd be looking at the $700 test first. But that's just my opinion and I know if I were in your shoes I'd probably be too impatient to wait and jump straight into IVF...!
Good luck in your journey xx
