I'll get back to this thread when I get home from work and give a decent answer, but the truth of the matter is you can do it.

IVF can be difficult, but it is achievable. People who face adversity often comment that they got through something they never imagined they could have, and you are not different.

Have faith in your abilities, your coping mechanisms and your strength and you will be amazed at what you can endure!

I'm on an IVF break at the moment, and I just can't wait to get back into it. No hesitation, no worries, I'm just ready for another round!

    Take care (and welcome too!)

    Welcome to BellyBelly riley.
If you would like to chat with some other women who are long-term TTCers (some of whom are currently undergoing IVF and other forms of AC) you can join our LT TTC & AC chatter thread.

It is very daunting at the outset. The process itself varies depending on your situation and your doctor/lab protocols. It can be physically demanding, but it's doable. The hardest part is that the outcome is not certain - but it's like that when you're trying naturally as well

I hope your IVF journey is a very short one

    Hi Riley,

I am about to commence my 2nd cycle, after a very bad 1st cycyle. But after having a break I'm excited and cannot wait to start our next one in March. I wasn't prepared the 1st time and I don't think anyone can as it is a different journey for all. You have to keep the lines of communication with your partner open & honest. Plus you a good friend/family member that you can talk too aswell. Stay positive & laugh when it all seems a bit too much. Never be hard on yourself either.
I wish that I had come on a site like this before our first time so I could've had the extra support. Its a journey that's for sure and like some one said before I hope yours is a short one, but if not it seems there is always someone here to offer some words of support.

    Hi Riley,

    Welcome to Bellybelly!

I am just about to start my first ICSI cycle in a couple of weeks and I've been told that it'll be very stressful emotionally and having to self-inject doesn't thrill anyone, but that's what we're prepared to do to have a baby.

Good luck with your decision. I've found the girls on this forum to be really supportive so don't hold back with your questions.
