    Talking Starting IVF

    Hi there Lovely Ladies
Have been reading all about the trepidation in starting IVF and wanted to contribute. However, it seems that the former “Starting IVF stories” thread has been closed. So here’s to opening it again?! We have started our first cycle of IVF in Brisbane last Monday after being diagnosed with high level endometriosis. We decided to go straight to IVF rather than Endo surgery. I have been snorting Synarel for 4 days now and I seem to be getting slightly moody, but nothing too unlike my usual hormonal moods...Teeee heeee! My period is due sometime early next week so we will be doing injections for 14 days or so from then. I have also booked an appointment with an acupuncturist (who I see this weekend) and a naturopath who I will see next week.
Would love to chat to someone who is travelling a similar path (or has done) and can over some advice.
ps: Please excuse my lack of acronyms...am still learning xox

    trineandjay.
    welcome
i did my first IVF/ICSI in may 2008.
yeah got a bit moody with the syneral and injections. i had some bloating of my tummy, that seemed to take ages to go away.

you really should join the LTTC thread as the girls there are prob going thru this right now and have more answers for you.

just take it easy and don't stress, these are things i did and i was a wreck with emotions. i am just about to do it all again.

    good luck to you both

    Wink A miracle

Just to update with some fab news... After 10 days on Synarel, we were anxiously waiting my period so we could start hormone jabs. Then, after waiting and waiting for 4 days I decided to do a pregancy test...AND IT WAS POSITIVE! We are 5 weeks pregnant as of today so its seems we have beat the odds and overcome ENDO! However, while I'm EXCITED I am also deeply TERRIFIED about miscarriage... I hear the chances are greater with ENDO? Already have experienced moderate and enduring cramping for all of week four and now nothing....just sore-ish boobies....All the best with the IVF Ladies, if our pregnancy fails I'm sure I'll be back on this thread shortly... But for now I'm staying positive and moving on to the early pregnancy threads.... Much love, Trine and Jay xox
