Lightbulb WANTED: anything & everything to aid FET implantation!

Well I am up to my last frozen embryo and I don't want to blow this chance. I know most of it will be in the hands of the Gods, but has anyone got any suggestions to aid with implantation? My list so far consists of:

    • Accupuncture
    • Pineapple core (though this can also cause contractions in the uterus)
    • Strawberries
    • DTD the night before
    • Feeding the belly only warm or room temperature foods (an Eastern concept)
    • plus no caffeine, alcohol.

Can anyone add to my shopping list? Looking forward to your suggestions!

    Thanks, WTH

Nothing to add to your shopping list. Just wanted to add to your trust in the hands of God. May it be 'Thy' will, that another little soul shares a journey with you and your family!

Not to add to the shopping list but no perfume or strong deodorant (if you use strong smelling ones) Our clinic actually recommended this as the blastocyst isnt naturally in an outside environment it can be very sensitive to the chemicals or whatever is in them. Just thought Id throw it in incase you hadnt heard it before. Wishing you the best of luck

WTH - Hi Hun, we haven't spoken for ages. I hope your transfer goes very well.

Make sure you see your own accupuncturist, with regard to the keeping your uterus warm suggestion

I was adding cinimum ( I can never spell that) to warm my uterus, in a shake derived from hours of internet research.

I went to see an acu, and she said I was TOO warm, and I needed to stop all the warming and concentrate on cooling

    Just a thought sweets

    Royal Jelly

Start it asap and use it until you know the outcome. I swear by it & believe it was the reason our last cycle was the one that worked.. search it here on BB and my thread I started on it in 2009 should come up

    Good Luck!

Ladybirdflies and MadB - thank you for your good thoughts and well wishes

Lilydust - interesting point about the fragrances. I use an aluminium-free deodorant, but did wear perfume during this (BFN) month. I wonder if hand sanitisers are also a no-go?

Hollybolly - I'm with you on the power of Royal Jelly. I used it (along with DHEA) on the IVF cycle I conceived DS, which is the same cycle where this frostie has come from. But I do wonder if it would still be helpful after transfer?

Bengal - good to "see" you again xx. I had to visit your profile because I didn't realise you had a name change LOL

Any strong smelling lotions/ potions etc as I recall and I imagine that would include hand sanitiser as it can be somewhat overpowering we were advised not to be worn for both collection and transfers, but I guess it didnt really help us so who knows how scientific it is
    Best of luck, hun

It just occured to me that I did not tell the Dr who did my tranfer (not my normal FS) that I had had a CS with DS. Would there be scar tissue there that might affect implantation??????

I dont' know that they can be that precise about it anyway. not sure.
Try not to worry. I'm sure there are lots of sucessful transfers after c/s.

I am sure you're right Mad B. After all, I guess it's no different than getting pg naturally after a C/S.

If only they would use tarzan's grip! I wonder if I offer them an extra $2.99 for a tube they would consider it??

    It's me again! lol

I have heard that the scar tissue can have an effect on implantation, IVF or natural conception. It's pretty much up to the embie where it attaches.

    Now, for my tips...

    1) DTD the night before
    2) Take off the pressure of the 'outcome' as much as possible
    3) Very important. Watch as many hilarious movies as possible during the 2WW (I've just remembered that one ) I think when you're laughing your head off, you are not thinking 24/7 about what might be happening in the oven and the time passes quicker.

    GL sweets.

    Blossom,
I was just talking to dp about the same thing. I just had my second jab tonight. I know I should have been taking royal jelly, etc for three months prior to a cycle but would it help at all if I took it from tomorrow?

I took it up until I knew the result - it is said to help aid with implantation, so definately take it during transfer etc. I was only having the teaspoon once a day in the morning - but DH was taking the tablets as well

As far as scar tissue and a c/section goes... I'm one from experience to prove it works I have the worst scar tissue not only from my c/s but also from numerous surgeries since I was 9yrs old.... My bubba is here and proof you can do it

    LOVIN' THIS THREAD!

    Thanks MissB and MadB.

I did not know Royal Jelly helped with implantation. I still have a massive half-full jar of capsules in the cupboard (which cost way over $100), but it has passed its expiry date. I wonder if this sort of thing goes off or if I need to buy another jar?

HollyBolly - that is very reassuring to read that the CS scar did not prevent implantation. Thanx :-)

Girls - Remind me again where to buy the Royal Jelly - it's in Tasmania isnt it ? You can buy it online ?

One other thing ladies. You want your lining to be "plump", we just tried a new mock cycle trial protocol, that involves me taking Progynova - which worked, I had a lining of 11 mm

If your FS is not keen on the medication, ( I mentioned it for future use, for ladies with lining issues) a diet rich in leafy green vegies is very good to enhance blood supply, avoid carbonated soda's and have adequate amounts of Vitamin B6
