Worked out the baby blanket I'm going to try for freckle - now just have to hunt down the yarn. It's called gentle waves baby afghan; sort of rainbow coloured with white bits.

I'm not a terribly skilled crocheter, but I've previously made a blanket like the one that one of the characters in True Blood has, for a raffle prize at an event. In the process of making another one of those, and having a go at making a hat/beanie. Would love to learn to do something a bit more difficult, but I think I'll probably stick with blankets and hats should this one turn out.

Jewel, that doll is so gorgeous!

just found that herrschners (the us website) sends to Aus and they stock lion brand yarn I noticed.
The only reason I now know this is because Spotlight don't have pale green 3ply yarn so I thought I'd google the yarn brand herrschners to see if there was a stockist of theirs in Aus but saw they now ship to Aus so am just going to order my yarn from there direct

ETA - just have to wait up to 21 days for delivery but yay for getting it here. about 1/3 of the price was postage Yarn and postage was still only ~$40 all up though so not too bad.

Back to Add - looks like 10-14 days and it should be here (according to the email)

Which true blood character? That's be awesome to make! Way to go!
Good luck with your hat/beanie making. Once you do one or two you know what's going on and they get easier ( well I think they do)

I wanna know too! Is it Lafayette's from season 2? I had a little google and that seems the most popular. Think I may have to give that one a go one day too

I just found the cutest mittens. They're crocodiles, or you can make a shark ones - I think the pattern is for the shark ones. Super cuteeeeeeeeeeee.

    They're on Ravelry.

It was Lafayette's from season 1....think he has it in season 2 also. He has a new one in season 3, but I'm yet to find a pattern for it.

Here's the pattern I found if you're interested

i do have some crochet hooks, need to find them, cos i want to give crochetting another try. To get further than chain stitch. To actually make something. Can find the wool, the knitting needles but not the crochet hooks, still searching.

The wool I generally use is just the stuff from Big W, Carnival I think it's called.

Giant afghan finished now, except for the billion loose ends. It didn't end up being as big as I thought, it's more wide than tall. It'll work nicely for saving our seats when we go to assemblies though, so it'll still work. I think I'm gonna hafta start actually planning blankets before I make them from now on, how grown up!

I got given 2 balls of super soft, fluffy rainbow yarn that I made myself a scarf out of. Long and skinny, and hangs down to the floor! I love it to bits, can't wait for it to cool down so I can wear it.

Also finished the bubba blanket, I'll hafta upload the pic Sarah put on FB, I forgot to take one!

I wanna start something new, but I don't know what. Creativity is stirring, but it has no direction yet unfortunately...
