anyone else with 4 boys

I have just given birth to my fourth boy and was wondering how many of you out there have four boys.... we thought this one might be our girl and it wasn't meant to be and I have accepted the fact that a girl wasn't meant to be part of our family.....we did try a bit a gender swaying for ds4 (diet, reducing dh sperm count, etc) but obviously that didn't work. Our family is now complete....anyway how did you cope with comments about having four boys???? do you have any good comebacks and does it get better with time?

Hi Sydney girll, I don't have 4 boys but I have 3!

I honestly think some people are so rude and insenstive with their comments about having all boys, when really who are they to know that you are not 100% happy with all boys. We are thinking about another maybe in a few years, but I am not holding my breath for a girl, I think it would be another boy.

Anyways I bet your boys are gorgeous, so I look forward to getting to know you!

I have only 2 boys but will be gong for #3 bub and am already stealing myself for the comments about trying for a girl. A girl would be lovely but i'm very doubtful it will happen so i'm mentally set up for another boy but will watch this thread with interest so i have some comeback tips!

Yep I have four boys and we do get the comments and the looks when we're at the shops and the boys are been loud running around, it's not nice.

Only the other day someone that hadn't seen my DH for a while jockinly asked if we were going to keep going until we got a girl? His truthful answer was that yes we are trying for a girl this time but it will defineately be our last.

I must say that we both thought that our last boy was going to be a girl but it wasn't to be, and if our next is a boy I might be disappointed and upset for a bit but I will love him none the less.

Congrats on your little boy

I know Nat (mum 5boyz) has 5 boys, she isn't on very often these days...
I have just had my 4th girl... and I tried lots of swaying methods to get a boy this time round, but like you it didn't work. I think I have resigned myself to the fact that we can't produce boys, I had a miscarriage last year and I am thinking it was a boy. Anyway... The comments I have has are about having to pay for marriges and how much fun I am going to have when they all become teenages. I've also been told I will have to go for #5 (we might too... but not to get a boy, I don't think I could go through the stress of swaying again!)

Tanya, how did you go the first few weeks after giving birth to Bonnie.. did you find it hard adjusting to the fact that you have four children... I know this is definitely our last. I haven't got the energy to gender sway again and go through the whole pregnancy, baby stage...... how are you coping? Today we went out to Westfield with all four boys and dh and no one said anything but we did get some stares..... I just want to get on with life with my four boys and try to forgot what people think? How do you do this? I think also my biggest challenge will be when dh goes to work in two weeks time and I have to drop my oldest boys to school...... this is where the comments are going to start. I know it shouldn't bother me but I can't help thinking that other people feel sorry for me

I only have 2 boys now but will be trying for no.3 next year (and if I can talk dh into maybe a no.4?) I'm already expecting to have all boys - before I even had kids I was thinking I would have boys! I love having my boys and it won't really bother me at all not have a girl. I mean it would be nice but as long as my children are happy and healthy it doesn't really matter what gender they are.

I already get asked if I'm having no.3 to try for a girl and I flat out say nup - I hope it's another boy because they can all head off on camping trips with their dad when they're older and drop mum off at the spa retreat! LOL! Or all head off on their motorbikes and give me some peace and quiet!! hehe.
Really, I don't know how to have a girl - I think it would be very strange! hehe.

Any way you look at it a healthy bubba should be enough for any mum! Congrats on your little boy - I'm sure you'll cope just fine!!

Hi there!! I do have 4 boys, but also a girl. And trust me, I also get strange looks and comments. People have actually said that with my first 2 being boy and girl, why did we keep having kids? I have been out with my boys and people have said were you trying for a girl? You can't please everyone!! I would like another child, maybe next year, and really don't care what sex. I love them all equally and differently.

If people are feeling sorry for you, tell them your boys wont come home pregnant, wont steal your clothes and you'll have 4 strapping lads to watch over their mum!! Good luck and all the best with the new bub.

Hi I have 3 boys. We are pregnant again and have been told its a girl. I will still doubt that until I am shown the girl bits. The comments that irritate me are
" Oh aren't you glad you went back for a girl"
" i bet your glad it's not another boy"
" no need for anymore children now"

I find those comments rude and upsetting. We didn't go back for a girl we went back for another child. Of course we are excited about having a little girl but seriously another boy would have been so wonderful.

I don't get the whole desire to have girls or one of each sex. To me as long as baby arrives safe and sound then thats what matters..

Hi there, congrats on your new little man. I just wanted to say it's great there are families our there like yours that produce so many boys as we have only managed to have girls. At least that way we know there'll be someone for our girls to marry!!!! (if they choose to of course!!).

We are thrilled with 3 of the same gender and if we were to have a 4th we would expect and want it to be a girl. I get asked all the time if my husband is disapointed because we don't have a boy. It really annoys me. They don't actually believe me until he tells them himself that he's stoked with his 3 girls! We also get asked if we are going to try for a boy. No, we would not try for a boy. We would however try for another gorgeous baby!

So as I say, welcome to your new little man and who knows....in 30 years time he may be the perfect partner for my daughter!!!

I have 4 boys so far and its great! They are much easier than girls!!! I can't wait till there are all grown up and surround their wee mama with big hugs!!! My boys tend to be cuddlier than my girls too.

I have 4 boys and desperatley wanted a girl...

I was 18 when I had my 1st son,1987 ( wanted a girl ) then went on to have 2 more boys 1989 & 1994,,,

I then divorce my husband and met my husband now...

He had a daughter and i had the 3 boys then we had a boy together in 2000, i so desperately wanted a girl and never felt like i was complete..

then we decided to go again..and I could only go one more child as I have had 3 c sections..

so I did all the girl diet , I brought the book by Dc Shelties and David Rork..Called, choosing the sex of your baby..

I read from cover to cover..and I stagered my tablets ..

after breaky:

Cal / mag
cranberry

Lunch:

Iron


Dinner

cal / mag
cranberry tablet..

I drank plenty of milk and ate yoghurt..

I also went to bed every night and ask the angels for a litte girl...

I had faith...

I also charted

I had af from from cd 1 to cd 5...we bed for 3 days straight from cd 9 , 10 , 11 then stopped I o'ed cd 14 which gave us a 3day cut off...I have 28day cycles..


Anyway...

I fell pregnant in 2005 and I knew straight away the baby was a girl.....


I am complete now and thank god every day for her....


I hope you get your wish and are able to have a baby girl....

I tried everything to have a girl.... when trying for ds4 I did it all as well, girl diet, cal/mag, cranberry etc but it did not work for me... in the long run I think it is all luck and looks like you were the lucky one ... .congratulations. At the moment I am enjoying my four ds and trying to deal with the fact that my family is complete.... and I am definitely enjoying ds4 as he will be my last bub.

I have 3 boys, tried everything for the last one to be a girl even cried in the ultrasound when she said was a boy. BUT I wouldnt trade him for anything now

I must say, contrary to those of you who have said they love their boys, that I absolutely adore having my 3 girls. I grew up with a twin brother and a younger brother and did so many boy activities I never want to do any ever again. Having said that, if any of my girls wanted to play footy or soccer they can go for it, but so far they are enjoying learning piano and ballet. I love all things pink, frilly and flouncy. I'm sure the teenage years will be tricky with hormones going off here and there but we'll cope. I love girls and can't believe how lucky I have been.
We did the gender swaying and it worked each time....however may just be DH can only produce X sperm.....who knows!!!

At the end of the day, it's how many children we want in our family that is most important. I am continually told I should go back for a boy.....who knows if we'd get a boy and how is it I can't convince people I am actually happy with girls???

I think people should just leave those of us with single gender families alone and not be judgemental.
