Well I for one know how you feel getting ready for all the negative coments you may well get over the next months. I am a mum of 9 my oldest is 24 and just got married 2wks ago and my youngest is 13 mnths old. I have had many such comments over my last 4 babies but have let them go over my head as its my life and my and my hubbies choice to have a big family. I was pregnant with my number 10 until last week but unfortunately it was not meant to be as I misscarried last week at 12 wks and have just had a D & C but saying that as soon as I am fit and feel emotionally well again I will try again for my number 10. Mother nature is in charge though as I am 44 but if god wants me to have more babies then I will . SO BE PROUD YOU ARE HAVING NO 8 AND HOLD YOUR HEAD UP HIGH GOD HAS BLESSED YOU !
Thanks Girls - big hugs back to you all. The encouragement is awesome. I am a great believer in all babies are a blessing no matter what ( I have a disabled Boy) and just because I am up to number 8 doesn't make this baby any less special than my others. Blessings

Big Congrats to you I hope you have a happy and healthy 9mths!! I can't stand all the negative comments and the not funny comments you get when you want a a large family.

Just read your post and wow you are 47 that gives me great hope as I am 44 and just miscarried 3 wks ago and was thinking maybe Im on the wrong side of 40 if you know what I mean well I guess I just needed to know Im not the only one this age who still wants a baby. I am so glad your bub is nearly here I have 9 and 5 babies and people keep asking me if IM MAD well what a question to ask so insensitive all my kids have been wanted and I had to try really hard to get them all and well I guess I am a little mad but in a good way. I was a only child and my parents divorced when I was 10 all I wanted was a big family who love and care for each other and however big it gets well who knows. At the moment trying really hard to get over my mc but each day is better now looking forward to AF so I know Im still in the running !

Hi girls thought I would update. I went quiet for a while because I thought I was miscarring but the doctor said maybe it was two and Iost one but I am still hanging on to a baby! I am half way or so now so in the easy part and the other kids are all getting excitied, they want another girl but I just dont mind either way.
My family are coming around to the idea and nicknamed this one Henry the Eight! But my brother wants to call in Finn as in finished!! I just dont care and am trying to enjoy my pregnancy and my kids. Life is good.....
