Hi hun, I don't have any step kids anymore (used to but split with their dad) but if it helps I feel like I'm forever griping at my own 9 year old DD as well. They go through phases where they for some reason try to push the boundaries (and our buttons) - it's quite normal. Hang in there and hope things settle down soon
