I'd follow the spirit of the request and wear something that I think looks nice BUT most of all that I'm comfortable in.

Is black really bad for weddings? All my clothes are black. I'm gonna have to go shopping I think.

Is it going to be warm? What about a maxi dress with a short cardi? That should also hide the 'Christmas baby'.

I'm with Nelle with this one, i reckon a nice maxi dress with a cardi and some flats. You'll look terrific and will be very comfortable and maxi dress's hide EVERYTHING

I have been looking at maxi dresses but I'm very short and can't find one that is able to be taken up. They all seem to have large patterns on them which sort of start around the hem and go up the dress, they would look odd with 30cm taken off the bottom. I am yet to find a plain-ish one.

Yeah, looks like I've commited a social faux pas too then...at least once that springs readily to mind!
