I'd say the children, as they are part of your family and the gift and well-wishes are also from them.

If they take it as rude, that's their concience saying that they should have invited the whole family to the reception and, therefore, not your problem. Of course, if you write the children wished they could have seen the pretty bride all day, that would be a bit rude.
