Re: When you don't want gifts

Do they do those give a gift things for Easter? Like they do at Christmas?
Maybe you could suggest this, rather than receive yourselves? Or you could maybe regift to a charity organisation?

St Vincent de Paul etc keep new things in packages for people who can't afford Christmas/birthday gifts... I've been one of those people. Twice...

Maybe you could pass such things on? Help someone else out?

I had so many friends who had giant Easter eggs in their pantry from months ago. I couldn't even imagine that many! It's not ideally healthy, but I'd love my kids to experience that. Just once and I think I need a good stock up for stressful days ha ha, another thing for my lotto list.

I have been to a birthday party where they requested no gifts. They just put it on the invite

You can always do Easter egg hunts with dyed boiled eggs, that's what they used before chocolate eggs were about

We've got a pretty big yard... and both DSs *love* giving presents, so I'm thinking that they'd love to do the hunt, and then take the eggs to Sunday School or to my folks' place to share with the cousins etc ...
