3 month stay at a Caravan Park, how do I go about organising this? Is it do-able?

My cousin did that for a few months and it ended up being quite expensive. Could you look for something small with a short term lease?

they have small apartments up here that they lease short term out around clifton beach palm cove area

My rellies have done this, they live in a caravan park full time in Cairns. They didn't find it too expensive, although they did have their own caravan, which I guess helps. You might like to stay in one designed for longer term, rather than holidays, because holiday makers tend to be roudier LOL and its annoying having people move in and out all the time. HTH.

In about 2001, me & my then-boyfriend wanted to move out of home for the first time, and my parents wanted me to stay in a caravan park instead of signing a lease for a house or unit just in case we couldn't afford it or we fought or whatever. So, being a good little girl, I looked into it and actually worked out that it was cheaper to rent an apartment than it was to rent a caravan!

Maybe if you apply for a few rental properties and explain that you're moving to up there and show that your partner has a solid work history, etc, and maybe enough money in the bank to live off for the next few months until he finds a job, they might be willing to give you guys a shot? I've never really been in that situation, though, so probably not a great deal of help - but I have often toyed with the idea of moving from Melbourne to Brisbane, so do let us know how you go!

Just a tip if you are able to and decide to go with the van park side of things try and book an ensuite site..

it means you have your own toilet and shower right outside your door.. Makes life easier then walking to the amenties

we lived in a carabvan park when we had a fence contracting business and it got too cold in the camper, we rented a cabin. We shopped around and asked for a weekly rate. It worked out to be very reasonable. We had a little cabin with a shower and kitchenette. We loved it.
