Does anyone have any strange coincidences with their partner?
DH and I do, and it is bizarre who frequently they keep appearing. Here are some
* Both our parents built the exact same house (one is the reverse of the other tho) from the exact same builder only a few months apart in the same small town.
* DH and I were delivered by the exact same doctor
* DH's mum and my mum stayed in the exact same bed in the hospital when they were there delivering us (5 years apart)
* Our birth weight was the exact same and our length and head circumference was only a cm different
* This one isn't a strange coincidence but we grew up in the same town but never actually met
* My great grand mother lived at a particular unit, when she passed DH grandmother bought her unit and currently lives there (this was before we knew each other)
* DH's grandfather passed when we were 9-12 weeks pregnant with DD and she was born on his birthday 10 weeks early. I am now 9 weeks pregnant and my grandfather passed. Ill be 29 weeks when his birthday comes around
* Our fathers went to the same school together and were in the same year
* OUr parents ages go 53 52 51 50 (MIL, FIL, my dad, my mum)
So many weird things. Its just bizarre. Does anyone else have any out there
Ours aren't as connected as yours but DP and I worked out we were at the same Violent Femmes concert standing about 2m away from each other about 10y before we met. We even vaugely remember seeing each other when described what we were wearing.
Also we both had very extensive cd collections when we moved in together and like a lot of the same music but when we merged our collections we found that we didn't double up that much as the CDs I had by an artist were the ones he was missing. I had the triple j hottest 100 volumes that he didn't etc. so when our collections were merged they formed a complete set.
I met a girl once who had a similar laundry list to yours where she could be my doppelganger - and her DF and my DF (DH now) had similar coincidences ... it was a really, really bizzare meeting, and we never met again ...
And I worked with a lady who shared a birthday with my DH and her DH had the same birthday as me ...
My DH has the same first name as his father and I have the same first name as his mother. (I have an unusual name)
DH and I met in Australia (he was born here, I grew up in NZ), but our grandparents come from the same city in Eastern Europe (we have never been a to cultural club or anything and don't have anything to do with East European communities in Sydney, it's just a coincidence that we're from the same background).
For years DH and I thought we were both 8lb 13oz when we were born. Turns out his mum was confused and that was BILs birth weight
Not a me and partner exactly, but DH was born in the hospital that our DD was born in last year, and when we looked through DHs baby album we saw that his paediatrician was the same called in to look after DD during my c/s. We didn't pick him, just happened to be the first one to answer the call!
That's crazy! The biggest one here is that my mum, DH's mum and SIL (DH's brothers wife) have the same name, it's more inconvenient than anything else! Especially since my mum and MIL birthdays are a couple of days!
mum always told me i was her 20th birthday present, four days late cos AF had hung around. DH's birthday is 4 days after Mum's, so i was conceived on his 14th birthday! i laughingly told him if he'd been wishing for a girlfriend when he blew out his candles that day, he should have been more specific lol
When my DH was born his Uncle (who was 18 at the time) made a bet with his mates that my DH's first born child would be a boy. They were that bored that they even typed the bet up, all signed it. I think the wager was a 6 pack of beer. Anyway when our son was born someone found the paper copy of the bet. The bet was made on the day I was born. How freaky that I would then be the mother of the child that the bet was being made about. My DH and I didn't grow up together lived in towns over 2 hours away.
When I was a kid my dad used to take me to a local estate where he used to hunt with other shooting enthusiasts. There were lots of dogs there but one day the owner got some ferrets, and the one that made the biggest impression on me was a big white one called Joe who was very tame, albeit a bit stinky. I always remembered that ferret.
Fast forward years and my Dh and I were talking about pets. He said he used to own ferrets as a boy but they were eventually rehomed to the big estate, including his favourite who was a large white ferret called, you guessed it, Joe.
Also DH learnt to drive in a MK1 golf that his grandmother gave him. When it came time for me to learn to drive he looked around for an old car and a couple of streets behind us was his old MK1 golf, for sale and still in good condition.
