I have had 3 EPUs at The Womens Hosp and unfortunately, DP was not allowed in the pre and post recovery room with me, I had to leave him out in the waiting room. You will sit with other ladies who are having their EPU aswell while you wait to have yours. On the plus side the nurses are all very nice, I had no complaints about how I was treated at all. Also you will get a warm blanket too when you go into theatre, they'll cover you up just before they knock you out which is nice as you are just about naked when you go in (except for that lovely hospy gown) oh they'll give you a dressing gown to wear over the top while your waiting to go in, I guess so you don't get too cold but they'll take it off you when you go into theatre.
