I just wondered, those of you who have experience with it, how much do you lose as discharge throughout the day?
Last week when my Dr prescribed it for me, the nurse gave me the progesterone pessaries by mistake and I took them for one day - they were fine. I find the crinone, which I am told is more "convenient" than the pessaries, to be yuckier to use.
lol I find the opposite, I usually use crinone and although a bit of discharge it never worried me now for the first time I'm using the progesterone pessaries and I hate the greasy discharge. Also annoys me having to lie there for 20 mins
I've used both at different times and don't like either. With Crinone I found it more convienient as I didn't have to lie down for ages afterwards, but really didn't like the discharge, I found it got sort of cottage cheesy and clumpy (gross I know sorry). I seemed to have more disharge as time went on and wondered if my body was absorbing anything at all! Discharge started as small little bits and progressed to balls or clumps near the end of the TWW. It also seemed to take a while after I stopped using them for this to finish (a week and a half maybe?) I only had cramping as a crinone side effect.
Prog pess's were messier in a different way and are really inconvient as i had to lie down for up to 30 minutes afterwards. Not too much discharge (slippery goo!) if I had lay down long enough. Side effects of the pessaries were worse for me - all day nausea, cramping and headaches.
This probably doesn't help but IMO they are as bad as each other, sorry this was so gross. My only advice is wear a panty liner! The things we do for a BFP.....
Infinity - I am reassured to hear that. It's exactly what I am experiencing!! As time goes on, the discharge gets worse. Maybe it just builds up in there???? Either way, it is ewwwwww!
Futuremum - thanks!! I didn't mind having to lie down for the 20 minutes, my bed is my favourite place to be right now, day or night LOL
I'm getting pretty much every side effect on the information sheet, cramps, tender breasts, nausea (at times), fatigue. I mean, how on earth am I going to know if I am pregnant or if it's just the crinone?
The person who invented these fertility drugs was a very cruel bugger!
Hi Sue, I have been using 2 x Crinone a day for 4 weeks now, have only just dropped back to 1 x day, I totally attribute this nasty stuff to the endless feeling that AF was going to arrive (this feeling has only just gone in the last week or so) and I would get such bad cramps from the Crinone I would wake up about 2 hours after inserting it in agony. I guess I had all the typical symptoms stated on the info sheet. Except perhaps feelings of extreme unworthiness lol.
Every 2 or 3 days when in the shower I have to poke around inside and sort of scoop out the Crinone left inside, otherwise it does build up in big blobs, I find this sort of minimises the discharge, and feel a bit better that the new doses I am putting in are not just getting stuck to the old bits. HTH.
Wishing you all the best for this cycle, I hope all your symptons are as sign of a beautiful BFP. xx
Sue - I actually said to my nurse at BT "What if I can't fit any more in - it's really building up in there" - so so gross
Futuremum - I had mega sore BB's on prog - I found that prog pessaries make me feel EXACTLY like i did when I was pregnant the first time. so very cruel. Keep hoping though - you never know. fingers crossed.
