IVF with PGD # 11

So i woke up with some light bleeding 😟 hoping it goes away but i don't think so.

Oh no, jbear... that's not what you want to see [emoji22]. Is it red/brown? Could always be implant bleed, or bleeding around the time your due? I had that with this pregnancy. It's impossible to tell at this stage though. Xx

Its red fresh blood, still light but not easing. My period is due, like you said its too hard to tell at this stage. We'll just wait for the bt Monday. Hopefully it goes away. Did you have early bleeding?

How's the bleeding now? I had bleeding at the start, when period was due. Mostly was brown/dark red. Xx

Not good, its heavy now & having some strong carmps. Will see what my Bt says but pretty sure it would be a miracle. Early night for me. Thanks for checking in on me Andie.

Hello! It's been a while.. I was on this forum a few years ago now when ttc #1 with PGD.. We were lucky to be successful first time round. #2 hasn't been so easy.. 2 transfers later and about to have transfer 3 with the help of prednisolone and aspirin. Has anyone else here had steroids and aspirin as a part of their treatment? Where is everyone else at? Xx

Munchkin - I finally had success using prednisone, aspirin, clexane on my 11th transfer. I'm not sure of your infertility issues but mine were unexplained, with slightly raised natural killer cells. Best wishes for transfer #3.

Wow, 11 transfers Andie... Glad to hear you got your BfP. When are you due? What day did you start aspirin and clexane? My FS said to start aspirin on day of transfer. I also had slightly raised antibodies from uterine biopsy.. I was on aspirin throughout last pregnancy for possible IUGR so my FS said I should probably be on clexane this time

I have a 2 year old son from that cycle [emoji6]. I have recently had my second son, 4 weeks ago. That one was a natural pregnancy. Quite a surprise after waiting 6 years for my first. I think aspirin/clexane was started around transfer as well. Or clexane might've been started day before transfer, can't remember now!

Thanks Munckin, was disappointing but on the bright side we do have two more frozen. I'm sorry you haven't had any success with ypur last two transfers. Did you have any tests to determine you need asprin & clexane?

We have so much going on at the moment, trying to sell our house. At the same time i don't want to wait to have another transfer. Our appt with our FS is next week so I'll see what she has to say. But i want to ask about any changes we can make to improve our chances. Also I'll be asking about my progesterone lvls as i wasn't put on anything for our last natural fet.

J bear- it's nice knowing you have some left in the freezer..when will your next transfer be? My FS said that I should be on aspirin and clexane due to my daughter being so small (4 pounds at 38 weeks) and she was always behind on growth during the pregnancy. I start aspirin today, which is day of transfer. I'm also going to get accupunture done before and after the transfer.. So fingers crossed for this one! And then the dreaded 2ww... Ugh

Yeah we're happy we have some frozen as we never did before. We are hoping to have another transfer next month.

Can i ask you lovely ladies...what day of your cycle did you do transfer?

I had my transfer 4 days after ovulation, not sure what day but I have Beta next Wednesday. Fingers crossed. How soon did you guys POAS after frozen transfer ? Trying not to but the thought keeps creeping in hehe

I was the same but Dh didn't want to test, but i think next time I'll test. Prob a few days before beta, i think others prob test earlier.

Spoke to my FS today & I'm having a hysteroscopy d&c next week before we do another transfer.

i hope the d and c does the trick for you this time Jbear.
AFM no symptoms yet but I know it's too early anyway. My DH doesn't want to test either but might do it without him knowing closer to beta hehe

Thanks Munchkin! Hopefully its does, we were doing acupuncture too but it was getting tricky going once a week and a bit expensive. So we decided not to do the acupuncture this time. I hope we're making the right decision.

How are you coping with the tww?

j bear accupuncture can get expensive on top of everything else! That's why we just opted to have it done on day of transfer before and after.
2ww hasn't been too bad, have kept busy.
Buckled and POAS twice.. 5dpt nothing but today 7dpt I saw a faint line!! Have been a bit crampu too. Fingers crossed.
When are you having your d&c?

Oh that sounds good Munchkin, hope that line gets stronger & stronger. Have you done anynore tests?

That's a good idea, do you do any diet with the acupuncture? I'm no5 doing the acupuncture but am doing the diet (warming foods).

My d&c is this Wednesday, i feel like i know the anesthesiologist too well!

I tested again today.. Faint line still there but it doesn't seem to be getting darker... Really hope this is the one though!!!
I try to stick to a clean eating diet however I have found it harder this time to completely eliminate caffeine so I'm still having 1 x coffee a day. 2 more days till Beta !

shattered.. Beta came back at 14 today which isn't good at all. Clinic told me to expect my period in the next few days :-(((((

thanks J bear. I felt like we gave that one out best shot.. Not sure where to from here.. Still have 4 frozens which is good but just so frustrating not knowing why it's not working. This one obviously attempted to implant. Anyway... How did your d & c go? X

I know what you mean, everything seems right, so why didn't it work dammit! Its so frustrating.
I read about a study they were conducting to try to better understand why embryos don't always attached, because its something that even the drs can't explain. Unfortunately we just have to keep trying. Do you have a follow up appointment with your fs?

As for me, d&c went fine. They said everything looked ok on my insides. Biopsy results will be in Monday when i go back. My thyroid is going up & down tho so will prob have that treated.

So very frustrating. They told me to keep taking drugs. Af hasn't arrived yet, just brown spotting. Have to go back tomorrow for another bt to check levels.. I guess they have to make sure its not ectopic. Eek I hope not. Haven't spoken to fs yet. We have spent so much already this year I'm not sure we can afford any more at the moment. Glad your d and c went ok.. Have you got a transfer scheduled yet?

Has Af arrived yet Munchkin? I hope your body is starting to recover. It is expensive even to just do a FET, we thought we might as well do another in the same financial year because of the medicare safety net. So my follow up appt with my FS was yesterday & she has put me on thyroid meds & once my period starts this month we will do another natural fet. This time she said we'll have another BT 2 days before transfer to check my progesterone.

J bear yes af has arrived- have had a lot more bleeding and cramping this time.. Wonder if it was the aspirin that did that?
I see my FS tomorrow.. Hoping to convince him to transfer two this next cycle but I don't like my chances. Do you know what the protocol is at your clinic for transferring more than one? We might be transferring around the same time.. Pending my bloods tomorrow (need HCG back to baseline) will be doing a transfer this cycle of my FS says it is all good. We figure the same thing about the Medicare rebate.

Not sure about the asprun but it would make sense. I do find mine is pretty heavy after a cycle.

How did you go convincing your FS to transfer two? My FS is quite strict on single embryo transfer but i think there must be the option to transfer multiple because I've seen it on the paperwork.

Yep, convinced him quite easily to do double transfer.. It's all going down Monday.. Eek!!

Hi J bear! That means transfer won't be too far away for you! I'm doing okay, have had a cold the last few days and as per usual the 2ww is dragging. Not really feeling confident this round for some reason.. I guess the 3 previous fails have made me a bit pessimistic.. Hoping even one sticks but would be ecstatic with two! 4 more days till beta

Yep 2nd BT today hoping things are moving along so i can have transfer very soon. I have one good vein in my right arm so it is taking a beating.

Oh i hope you get better soon, inknow what you mean about being pessimistic. I'm the same. I hope the next 4 days flys by for you! Will be keeping everything crossed in the meantime.
