I know what you mean Manhattan - but I can't break myself from the bellybelly habit - it becomes all consuming doesn't it. I wish you the best of luck and hope you pop back in when you have good news to share.

Just popping in to cheer on Sara , CP and Kel,
CP - great that your FS and embryologist went with your choice and you feel good about it. I pray that you have a fighter on board and one going in the freezer by Sat
Sara - sounds like a great batch of eggies this time. Please let this be the last time for you
kel - hope you are doing ok in preparation for EPU on Friday
WLAB - :crossfingers: for some good news for your BT!
Kel - good luck with EPU tomorrow :goodluck:
Cuddlepie - hope your little potential frostie is dividing wonderfully for you ;)
:hello: - Meredith, Sara, Buliej and California
Hi Girls,
WTH: Hope you are well. Sorry for being ignorant but what is a POV? Any tips for the last few days before EPU to make the smaller follies grow and catch up?
Manhatten: Completely understand what you're saying, it's a big step being diagnosed and it's a good idea to take some time out to look after yourself, you are still young and have plenty of time, IVF is a hard road and it's good to be able to take the time to be in the right headstate when you start.
Buliej: My home country does only allow double citizenship in exceptions so will have to do some work before I can go for the Australian one. Was wondering if you got your DHEA BT results? Hope you're going well.
WLAB: :goodluck: with BT today I really hope you get good news.
Kel: Thinking of you, :goodluck: with EPU and hope things go well with your embies - will soon join you on that rollercoaster.
CP: Sending lots of :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesboy: your way, hoping your little embie has made itself at home and you have a snowbub waiting for you.
Meredith: Thanks for your support, hope things are looking up for you.
AFM: Bummer, have again a lead follie that's growing like mad and the others have trouble catching up. Had this morning the lead one at 20, one at 16, 17 and two at 14, one each at 13,12,11. Really hope they don't make me trigger tonight and give me another day or two, would be so nice to be able to catch at least one of the two ones at 14 and d let the 16 and 17 ones mature but starting to resign myself that there may only be one to a maximum of three there.
Sara
Sara - I had a lead one, too! I think it was 23mm at trigger. My FS let the others keep going a little longer. I was looking at a total of 6 follies (including the lead one) at that stage. But the extra couple of days made a big difference. I ended up with 10 mature at EPU (completely unexpected). But one had a "fractured zona" - caused by being too mature. So in the end that one was sacrificed. This may be worth talking to your FS about, as the others over 10mm could all be ready in a couple of days (and they keep growing after trigger). You could be looking at 7 follies (not including the big 'un) Sorry if you already know all of this... Yes, I did everything I could to make the little ones catch up. Probably sounds quite comical, but after being on decaf tea for months, I had a cup of regular strength tea each morning (I am so daring) as I read caffeine increases estrogen levels. I also bought some 100% quality geranium essential oil, as this has quite a big effect on estrogen levels. Dabbed it on my wrists each day and took a few whiffs throughout the day. Someone actually recommended geranium to me on another BB forum. I have a lot of books on aromatherapy and thoroughly checked that this would not have a bad effect as essential oils are very potent and alot are not safe during PG. Sorry 'bout my ramble - I sooooooooooooooooooooooo want this to work for you!!!!!!! :crossfingers:
Thank you so much WTH - I am off to the kitchen to get a cup of tea.
Sara
Sara - all sounds really good - WTH has some good suggestions. I can't believe what a good cycle you are having - it's fantastic.
WTH - does your book cover herbal teas? If it does, I might PM you.
My DHEA was low but not horrible - I have the actual number at home and will post it later. Thus, I will start it if I need to do another cycle in the future.
Sara, I think you could have at least 5 eggs by the sound of it...mine biggest one was 25mm when triggered, so there is still room for the smaller ones to catch up, maybe another two days? So you won't lose the biggest one...WTH is full of knowledge, why didn't I think of having some full strength tea and some oil? Best of luck hun
Girls, you won't believe it there is an essential oils factory wholesaler in the street where my work is, so now have geranium oil already on my wrist and some nice geranimum moisteriser. Tonite I'll have relaxing bath using some more oil and we'll see if I can get the factory going.:D
Sara
Oh good on you Sara, get it happening asap....
Now, Dr. WTH, what should I do or take during the TWW to help it stick? Should I take a ticket first?
Sorry - double post!
You guys crack me up! Got my medical degree completely from the University of Google. Just regurgitating hours of swatting in the last few months. Totally did my head in. But if any of this helps, then it is worth the suggestion...
Sara - well, it is mean't to be then. I don't think it is a coincidence that essential oil factory is there at all.
Cuddlepie - Trying to work out how many days past EPU you are. With my Day 5 transfer they said implantation would be in the next 36 hours. So maybe you're close to that (ie, Day 6/7)? I honestly think it is just a game of luck, but I did eat well, relax alot and this time around steered clear of the pineapple. Eating lots of garlic (and drinking tomato juice) thins the blood and MAY make the uterus more hospitable. Some people take baby aspirin for the same reason. My OB and FS warned me not to have the baby aspirin as, if there is not clotting disorder, it increases the chance of MC. So I took nature's equivalent instead. Oh yeah, steer 100% clear of baths and swimming pools at this time. Do not have too-hot-a-shower, either. Overheating impacts on implantation. Here endeth the lesson.
Buliej - I read to be VERY careful of herbal teas, so did not take any during IVF or this PG. But I do believe that camomille (excuse spelling) is totally safe. I have a mug of organic white tea with organic honey late every afternoon for its antioxident value. I think some women have ginger tea for MS, but am not too sure about that one... Rosehip is a definite no no during the 2WW and PG - causes contractions.
Again, I feel like a bit of a twit writing all this down... Hope you don't think I am sounding like a know-it-all. Still don't have a clue why this li'l one stuck!
Have a GREAT weekend, ladies!
Hi Girls,
WTH just read through your messages at the time and it looks like they're doing the same thing with me.
Have to come in for scan again tomorrow morning and they're saying there is an outside chance for EPU Monday but most likely it will be Tuesday, so they seem to want to wait for the smaller ones, so relieved..... E2 is currently at 5340 and LH has come up nicely to 1.4.
Sara
Ok, so my Day 5 was Thursday, next 36 hours...I am still having this opportunity window....god, have to wheeze to supermarket to get some garlic and tomota juice now...at least I can drink some tomato juice in the office now, not garlic, they will think Im nuts.....
BTW - I cheated with the garlic - taking mild tablets by Blackmores, plus was over- using it in my cooking... GOOD LUCK!
Just wondering WTH - what does the university of google say about peppermint tea? ... just coming from a spicy thai lunch with lots of garlic.....
Sara
Guys... we really have to write a book about this, lol
I always call it Dr Google! I think if someone told us to stand on our heads and drink a magic tea we'd all do it - it's amazing what you can get us to do with the promise it helps!
Sara - I am not sure. I do remember having peppermint tea once during the 2WW (I was at a coffee shop and was off the caffeine). Maybe mildly steep it to be on the safe side if you love your peppermint tea fix?
Buliej - I was TOTALLY prepared to stand on my head if I read it on Google
I also recall hearing about tea is that the "initial soak" is the most potent. So if you soak the bag for 1 minute, dump the cup and re-use the tea bag it will be less potent if you don't want the "full strength"

I wonder where Dr Google got its medical degree - he's like our oracle.
Hi ladies,
Wow, this is interesting. Can anyone tell me where I can buy this magic tea? Not sure how I will go with drinking it upside down, but I will definitely try, I have been doing head stands in yoga lately, do you think this would be an ok way to do it. Can I drink it with a straw instead. How long until it works, or is it really magic and works right away?
How exciting!
Heehee, just joking, just dropping in to say hi, and thank you so much for today's posts, they have put a smile on my face, I can just imagine myself upside down drinking magic tea. If you do find this tea, I want it.
Sara, GL with your geranium sniffing, would love to hear if it works, and all the best for a successful EPU next week.
Julie, so happy for you, hope you are doing well
WTH, I wish there was a magic formula:dance:
CP, stick embie stick, hope it is all happening for you and your embie is snuggling in
Hi to everyone else!
 I found tomato juice is worse than wheatgrass...
Lucky no one play any tricks on us on April fools days, quoting its from Dr. Google, we'd do it Im sure....
All jokes aside, I do agree with you WTH, I think sometimes its "game of luck", you really don't know what make it across the line at the end of the day... for us, doing something to help just give us calmness and satisfaction to deal with this whole thing but the end results is still in the hands of God...
CP: agree, used to hate tomato juice. I bought a red vegetable juice in a glass bottle in Wollies which is called Hot & Spicy it also containes other vegie juices (83% tomato) I though it was quite palatable. Also found mixing it with orange juice or alternatively with some tabasco and fresh mint helped a lot.
Sara
Hi everyone,
I'm still pretty rotten and am not up to do personals today I'm afraid. 17 good quality eggs collected yesterday, ICSI done on all of them from the frozen sample, and 12 fertilised. They're aiming to do PGD on Monday this time; God willing, we may actually have something to transfer this time around.
Love Kel
Hi Kel - great result  Hope you become more comfortable as the day goes by. Rest up - your work is done. Wishing you all the best for PGD on Monday :goodluck:
Hi girls,
Hope you're all having a great weekend.
Well done Kel, that sounds all good, keeping fingers crossed for PDG on Monday. Sending lots of :pink-babydust: :bluedust: your way - hope you feel better soon, be kind to yourself. If you can, acupuncture can be helpful for the day after EPU.
WTH - thanks so much, will have to send you some flowers, your tips are doing wonders.
CP: Hope the TWW is treating you kindly. Did you get news from your embie? Keeing finger crossed and thinking of you. Just read your blog - which type of German beer did DH go for? Have a great party tonight.
BDT: Sending lots of :stickyvibesboy: :stickyvibesgirl: for IUI
WLAB: Sending a
:hello: Buliej
Had a very relaxing bath yesterday with the geranium oil and will have another one today, also added garlic tablets to the mix. Currently sniffing on my wrist and drinking a cup of black tea ;)
This morning had one follie at 22mm, three at 20mm and another three at 14mm plus a few smaller ones of them I think two over 10. So since yesterday there must have been a 14,16 and 17 that grew to be 20mm now, that's a massive growth rate for me. Anyway need to stay calm and keep my marbles - can all still go wrong but very elated, will hear from the clinic later, I guess it may be trigger tonight after all.
Sara
OMG Sara - that is amazing. Can't take any of the credit - it's your body doing such a great job. But it was only in the last couple of days before trigger that I tried the geranium. Small friendly word of warning - pls do not overdo the tea, especially if you have been on zero caffeine ;) Oh and BTW - too much of any essential oil can have the opposite effect. I just wore it on my wrists and sniffed the bottle a couple of times a day (such a gorgeous fragrance). Can't wait to hear the next phase of this originally written-off cycle - sounds like your best one yet
Sara - sounds really good - let us know when your pick up is
Kel - your results sound good too - I'll keep my fingers crossed as well
Hi to everyone else - I've been having a bit of a rough time - can't post it in this thread, but you can find my other posts in other threads.
WTH: Yes, agree will stop now with the oil as I think I might overstimulate, have started to feel uncomfortablae and E2 was already at 8300 (big leap since yesterday!). I really wonder if this is the effect of the DHEA.
Buliej
The nurse says trigger still tomorrow, EPU Tuesday at midday. FS wants to give some more time to the 14mm ones, I am a bit scared I may loose the large ones but may just have to rely on my FS, very nervous now.
Sara
Thanks Sara...
Sara - that E2 is very impressive. Well done. You must have some wonderful big un's growing in there  And hooray for yesterday's trigger - no more jabbing. Yippee :D Wishing you all the best for your EPU tomorrow and some wonderful mature quality eggies :goodluck:
Hi everyone, couldn't log in the site over the weekend...but I have also tried to cut down this BB addiction but its hard.
Julie, I hope everything is fine but haven't found any of your post yet. is it in Pregnancy thread? I am thinking of you...
Sara, best of luck for tomorrow, it all sounds progress nicely and hope will give you some star performer and you dont have to do it again...
AFM, I am not in the most positive state, very much not holding my breath about this one atm...we had so many blasties TF and seems to me, my problem is 'how to make them stick'...my 8-cell did progress and became a blasties and frozen Friday/Sat. But I am not in a hurry to use that until I find out anything wrong with the implantation.
CP - hang in there, hun. Every day is a day closer to your BFP
Sara
CP - I can't recall if you've had tests re: failing to implant? If it is a concern, it sounds like it does make sense to have this looked into before you transfer your blastie. Also, thank you so much for "stalking" me and your post in the other thread.
Thanks Sara and Julie, have already made a appt with FS on 23 April and hopefully will do some b/t re implantation issues. We eliminated this possibility after my very first pregnancy (which was a missed m/c), do you think people who has implantation issue will just have a off-chance to get PG? So far, I've done 2 fresh + 2 FET with no sign of HCG and that just makes me wondering...so this issue seems to be back on agenda again...haven't done any tests...
CP - I don't know. My understanding is that the same thing in 1 person may result in failure to implant, while in another they will get pregnant but not be able to hold it. I haven't looked into this in detail, but I'm going to query my FS as I can't afford to find out too far down the track that I have an issue. I know they normally require a number of miscarriages or implementation failures, but where time is of the essence, I say - just test. There's another thread somewhere that covers all the tests and probably has much more info. I know FarmGirl asked her FS to run the tests because after numerous transfers, she was getting no where, and they found her problem and now she is very pregnant.
You wouldn't believe it, but 10 out of 12 are still growing! We have 1 x morula, 5 x 8 cell, 1 x 7 cell, 2 x 6 cell, and 1 x 5 cell embryos today! he two lagging are both 2 x cell embryos. PGD is being done on the six most advanced embryos this afternoon. God willing, we'll have something to put back tomorrow.
If you'll excuse me, I'm just going to go and sit down somewhere and bawl my eyes out with relief.
Sara: GL for tomorrow!
Everyone: :hello:
Cuddlepie, it would definitely be worth having the tests re-run if you still think there are problems. I've had one particular test come up negative several times with my rheumy, it came back as a negative with Dr S, but eventually came back as a very low positive with my current FS. He still wasn't going to treat it, but as it was low dose aspirin I independently made the decision to treat it any way, and it was when we did that we got Sam. Your test results can change with time. If you are concerned, leave no stone unturned.
