Thanks ladies, yes it was a huge relief.

Minnie - The translocation of chromosomes that I have could cause sever disability. The PGD testing for us is 90% accurate so there 10% chance that they made an error or the cells tested were not a fair representation. So we are considering doing amino, I'm pretty sure we will but I have some doubts still because the counselor gave good reasons for and against it I keep running through it in my mind. Gosh it's so hard to make the 'right' choice for us!

    Hi Girls,

Have been resting up in bed this afternoon, not feeling too bad at all and panadol is easing any pain (nice nurse gave me a couple of shots of pethadine at the hospital )

elle - I'm worried as we have not heard back from you. I hope no news is good news?

J Bear - I have acupuncture tomorrow and again on tues.

Andie and Minnie - cycle buddies whoo

Andie - I had spotting for 5 days before stopping the pill but I'd say af started for proper 3 days after last pill.

    Hi BF go the zen.

AFM - Bit distracted with thoughts of my little eggies. I will find out fertilization rate tomorrow about lunch time then they will get shipped up to Brisbane on sunday. I hope they do well Going to watch one born every minute from last night now and try to think happy positive thoughts.

Funny note - last night I dreamt I was baking with my eggs and mixing flour in with them and the sperm, I was thinking flour is probably not good for sperm but I kept on mixing anyway!!

sunbeam: you crack me up, i can picture you on the floor trying to mix everything together, funny the way your mind makes you dream these things !

jbear: hard decision for you would it have to be an amnio, could you do a cvs ?

Andie: yay for a cycle buddy, when is your epu, at this stage mine will be thursday 15th november. I usually get af about 5 days after stopping the pill so i'd say she will arrive for you this weekend

Great result Sunbeam! What a funny dream you had as well, your poor brain is working overtime.

Minnie, we won't do CV it's for higher risk and because we've already done PGD we are not in that category.

Andie & Minnie - Yay for cycle buddies!

AFM - Trying to study but had to pop in to see how Sunbeam went! Hi to everyone else x

    Hi Girls

Thank you so much for all the good wishes and positive vibes to my embies. All 8 embies got shipped up to Brisbane PGD clinic today and all 8 were still going strong. I should get a call around 11am tomorrow to say how many are good for biopsy. Please grow little embies.

Just in case it happens to anyone else. I woke up this morning and my right eye was all out of focus (with my glasses on it was like my right eye was not seeing any better than without them). I rushed to the optometrist and he checked it out and it's fine, just a side effect of all the hormone changes and fluid changes. It's nearly back to normal tonight. Other than that not feeling too bad just a little crampy when I put the pesseries in.

    Hi ladies!

Sorry about the absence - have just moved house (we moved Sunday, the day after EPU - oh what fun that was!) and things have been pretty hectic around here (as well as only just getting internet happening again). So, update on my embies - 7 eggs were collected, 5 mature and able to be injected, 3 fertilised, all 3 behaved themselves very well and were dividing nicely and are now frozen for my next cycle. I honestly didn't know how to feel about it all. The cycle felt up and down and all over the place. I wasn't expecting 7 eggs to be collected so I was pleasantly surprised but then pretty deflated again when I heard that only 3 had fertilised. One thing that made me feel better was that we had called off PGD due to low follicle numbers and that was clearly a good decision as 3 embryos just wouldn't feel like a great PGD number, if that makes any sense (that darn nurse's voice still in my head - 'you guys just keep losing numbers, don't you?'...ugh). So, the next thing for me is that I am obviously hanging out to do my next cycle and actually have an opportunity for a transfer. It has been an odd/kinda sad feeling just letting this cycle go and not even having a chance of transfer (although still very grateful for 3 embies waiting). I have spoken to one of the clinic nurses and will find out this week if there is any chance my FS will consider doing back-to-back cycles. *Fingers crossed* Anyone have any experience with that?

Sunbeam - Yay! Yay! Yay! I was so happy to read about your EPU and your updates - I hope those little embies are behaving themselves and growing nicely for biopsy (and healthy, happy transfer!!). I will be checking in tomorrow for updates - can't wait to hear the good news! *Everything crossed for you*

J.Bear - Wonderful news! What an amazing sight that must have been! Relax and look after yourself and that precious little baby!

Andie, Minnie - How great that it looks like you will be cycle buddies - good luck to you both! Can't wait to hear all of your cycle updates.

b*f - Zennnnnnnn... Best of luck for this week, sweetie!

    Hi girls

Well I feel like c@#p. The clinic called and although 7 of the 8 are still growing only 3 were ready for biopsy. I feel the same as elle 3 is just not enough for PGD so they are being frozen today and will be added to my fresh ones from my next cycle. I feel horrible about going straight into another stim cycle as the ohss has kicked in and I had to sleep part of the night propped up as the pressure from my bloated tummy was too much. I did back to back stims last time and the ohss was far worse the second time. It feels really sad having nothing to transfer this go just like elle said.

Elle and Sunbeam sorry to hear that ur not able to do a fresh trf this time. That really sucks, PGD really does lower the numbers. From our last cycle we only ended up with one that was balanced and suitable for trf. But all you need is one good one. One of those embies is very likely the one so try not to get to down.

Sunbeam I hope you feel better soon & that u get some relief soon and you don't have a repeat of what happened last time. Sending you both lots of love!
