Sorry everyone else - I haven't worked out how to PM yet. I'm trying to get my FS to agree to try prednisolone and clexane but haven't been successful yet.
Bridget, just mentally prepared that it will be a challenge. I love my FS for many things but he is on the 'non-believer' side, so there is no option for me. I have to wrap up and change to Dr S completely in order to seek treatment on NK cell...but again, if that can help me to get a BFP, the hassel is so worth it. Have you checked your NK levels?
infinity- hope things are well with you. A break from ivf and ttc can be a really good thing. I'm often having breaks (not always my choice) and I can appreciate them more now because it's a break from the hormones, general stress of IVF etc and it allows me to step back a bit, regroup and not get too focused on ttc, as it can become consuming. GL with DH and the chinese herbs, there's NO way I could get DP to take any of that kind of stuff, I have a hard enough time getting him to take a stinkin' multi- vit.
Bridget- I hope you are able to find someone who will listen and work with you. Stick with it though hun, I had to ask atleast 4-5 times before my clinic did my immunology testing but I've had them done now. Best of luck with it.
MsP- Enjoy your time away!
AFM- tests results today showed nothing other than ANA which I already knew I had. OB mentioned my result was quite high and advised me to take low dose aspirin starting from day of +ve BT. but I wonder whether I should start from the day of TF rather than wait until we have a +ve pg test. I'm going to do a bit of reading and see what I can find out. Any opinions very welcome.
What a relief Dutchie...well done hun! About the ANA issue, I am sure I read some thread here so definitely check it out, the earlier administration can make a difference and I hope know this issue is just one step closer to a BFP!
Ms Pink, have great fun my friend and you totally deserve it!
Hi Dutchie, great news that there are no other issues. I don't know much about the ANA, but I agree with CP, waiting for +BT might be too late. I don't know the full risks of taking low dose aspirin daily, but I have read countless posts by other women on other forums who have taken it every day as a rule, an many attribute this to success. Also for some reason I thought they also treated ANA with Clexane or Prednisone for both, forgive me if I am wrong. And remember I have a bad habit of self medicating . Might be worth looking into this further. Wishing you all the luck.
BDT, I think you are right, Clexane is definitely part of the treatment, if I recall correctly, Farmgirl had this issue and being treated this way and I think she must be ready to pop soon...
Thanks heaps CPie and BDT, really appreciate your input. BDT, yes you are right hun, and I was also under the impression that ANA was treated with aspirin and heparin or clexane or prednisone. My FS has mentioned using aspirin + heparin when I initially told them of my +ve ANA but my tests were actually done through the pg management clinic and not the ivf clinic, it was an OB and not my FS who has advised me to just take aspirin and to start from +ve pg test. My mind always refers back to FG and I wonder whether aspirin alone will be enough and if we would ever get a BFP this way. I've discussed this with DP and because I'm not sure whether the ANA contributes to implantation issues or pg or both (I guess I haven't had enough TF to say for sure and I'm very lucky to have not suffered any MC) we've decided we're both comfortable with taking the aspirin from the day after EPU so, the day before TF and if, God forbid, we don't make it to TF I will just stop the aspirin. I'm going to ask my FS if they believe that aspirin alone will be sufficient. I also wonder whether I should just go with the flow now for a little bit and wait and see if the aspirin alone does have an impact and gets us a BFP or should I continue to push this and request heparin/clexane/prednisone aswell. Thanks for listening
ETA- The OB we saw yesterday said that aspirin on it's own does not carry the risks that aspirin in combination with heparin etc. does such as poor fetal growth and pre eclampsia which is reassuring.

: ETA
just popping in to see how everyone is doing. Are there a few of you in the middle of stims?
Dutchie - glad your results came back clear. If it were me I'd be pushing for the whole shebang probably, but that said ask your FS and trust their advice. Good luck with whatever you decide.
Hope everyone is doing well - throwing around some much needed babydust.
Nothing happening at the moment. Will see our FS next month to have a good chat and figure out where we go from here. On my good days I'm quite enjoying not TTC right now. I'm also a little scared to be going into our second IVF when the first was such heartbreak. Did any of you feel the same when going in second time around? Also (finally) starting to get excited about being an aunty for the first time - one due 23/08 and one due 20/11. The change in my mindset about this is really helping, not sure where it came from but grateful for it all the same. I will have babies in my life that are family and I want to be involved so starting to look forward to it. Our time will come but in the meantime I will focus on what I do have.
love to all xx

infinity, i am currently doing my 2nd ivf cycle, my first one was cancelled due to not enough eggs, so we triggered and fell pregnant with a miracle, but lost it at 9 wks its 6 mths since the miscarriage and i feel that maybe i have moved on to soon, i am having alot of doubts and feeling guilty. but i know that if i dont do it now we wouldnt have the money later. with the first ivf i was excited and happy and didnt care how sick i was feeling from all the side effects but this time round i am really struggleing and i will be brutally honest, i am NOT excited, i am NOT happy, instead i am scared, worried and sick of feeling sick! i mean i have my days where i think its great and everything will be fine, but then i have other days where i think to myself "what am i doing" i must be crazy wanting to go through all of this again. but i think this is just part of the ivf journey. just know that whenever you do start your 2nd round, i will always be here if you need to talk
Mspink - hope you are have a nice holiday rest up and enjoy hun xxx
hey dutchie80 & cuddlepie and anyone else i have missed, hope you are all doing well?
AFM- not alot happening here, started syneral yesterday morning and have only a few days left of the pill ( thank god) do any of you know if its ok for me to play sport up until EPU? its only tennis and i play every monday night? once we get close to epu i will stop playing but i am not to sure if its ok if i still play now when i am only on the pill and syneral? i was planning on playing tonight and come off court when its time for me to have a sniff, wait fewminutes then return to the court? do you think that will be ok? 10/15 mins should be plenty of time for the syneral to absorb in do you think?
Hi Mummy2chloe. Thanks for that I think I will feel much like you do now. Helps to know that I can talk to someone . so sorry you feel this way.
I think you are absolutely fine to play tennis, once that syneral is in and hasn't come pouring out a nostril it's in there for good. If i were you I'd keep playing up until EPU unless it becomes difficult. I felt so bloated and heavy and my ovaries hurt even just walking for the week before my EPU - but if you feel fine continue your sport I say. It's good for you.
I am here, sniffing away, on my 5th day of my highest dose ever of stims, and not feeling any symptoms from the Puregon, which of course makes my wonder is anything happening down there, I cant wait to have a scan to see whats happening. However I am struggling through my work during the day with headaches from the syneral, so that is a nice little reminder that the syneral is doing it's job. I am off to see a new accupuncture chap that PLC reccomended, he sounds lovely, and I cant wait to meet him this week.
WLAB- no symptoms definitely does not mean no action. I usually get minimal cramping during stims but thers always follies at my scans, everyone is different. Gotta love those synarel headaches, that stuff used to give me shockers, AP may be able to help with that. Enjoy your new acupuncturist, so relaxing.
to everyone, I'll pop back in later and have a proper catch up

Sorry for disappearing ladies, guess I wasnt as over the miscarriage as I thought I was. Found at at yesterdays FS appt that our baby was a little girl No chromosomal abnormalities which is good I guess, but no real answers.
We changed drs at our clinic which has been a godsend. Mike Aitken is my obs and we decided to switch to him as our FS as well, and can I say just how wonderful it is to have someone speak to you as an equal and answer your questions without playing the DR card 'I know more than you'! We ended up with an hour + consult, and went over absolutely everything in our history, the miscarriage, different ivf protocols etc. He is sympathetic about the IVF medicare issue and us being short on cash, so they are going to help us out with split billing so we can pay half, get our medicare rebate, and then pay the rest of it which is a huge help.
Am on the pill as of today, then when AF arrives I am back in the game. Doing another orgalutran cycle with ICSI which I am happy with. Our biggest concern though is with Murrays sperm at the moment. His latest SA had 0% motility and his SCSA test came back with 35% dna damage which is 'very poor' according to his notes! Murray is understandably very upset over it all. Dr still wants to go with his sperm though and through icsi we think it should be okay, may have to result to tesa on the day though if he doesnt get a good enough specimen. Also on menevit which fingers crossed will help.
Cant believe we are going for #9. Also going down the adoption path concurrently (post over in the adoption section) which is a little crazy but I guess it helps give us hope that this isnt the end for us.
Wouldloveabubba - I love your screen name by the way - exactly how we feel, so lovely. I'm sorry about the syneral headaches, unfortunately I found that nothing really helped, lots of water seemed to dull them a little. Hope your acupunture went well, do you take the herbs too? When is your scan?, hoping lots is going on in there.
BecD - No answers is such a hard thing, I'm so sorry for the loss of your little girl. Your new FS sounds wonderful and how nice to give you payment options! Bet many don't do that. All the luck in the world for #9 you amazing woman - you've more than deserve a sticky BFP - hoping this cycle is it for you. Hugs to your Murray, we forget how hard this is for them too sometimes - expecially with a male factor issue.
Hello to everyone else, hope you are all doing well wherever you are at.
recently quite a few long timers that acheived their BFP's - hoping we an all continue that trend in the coming months.
Bec; Oh my goodness, I am trying to type a heartfelt message to you in a Syneral Fog, so please excuse me, if it comes across inapropriatly. I am sorry you are in a sad place now, and finding out the sex of your angel would make it even sadder. I am happy to read however , that you have found a FS who is patient friendly, and gives you the respect you deserve. Have you done 9 full IVF Stim cycle's, and 5 blast transfers ?
Sorry to be inquisitive, we havent spoken before, so I am not sure of your art history.
Infinity, Thanks for the compliment hun, I joined BB without giving my username a lot of thought, sometimes I feel like changing it, b/c I like to post all over, and it reminds me all the time, as if I could forget
Hi Dutchie, thanks for your response
Hi to everyone, I guess all you lovelies are re-couperating and getting ready for your next steps.
AFM; Scan and my first BT during a cycle (ever) tommorow morning, I am nervous about the BT, I would sink if they cancelled because me E2 was too high, which from memory (which I have no memory) is that a too high reading of E, suggests poor quality eggs. Could one of you ladies confirm why they do the BT for me ?
Initial Accupuncture Consult @ 5pm today, then I will have one 24 hours before EPU and within 24 hours after ET, the only bummer is after ET, I have to travel 45 mins to this chap as he works from diff rooms on a particular day
Hello again to everyone, please pop in and say, you need to keep me warm in here, it's so chilly in Melb .. brrrrr
Wouldlove - hello lovely friend. They do the BT for a few reasons - mainly to correspond with the follies developing, so that there should be a consequent increast in E2 depending on how many follies there are and what size they are......I remember one nurse telling me that one developing follie should give an approx value of 800, so if they could see 4 developing, then your E2 would be about 3000? Am i making any sense? Also, if you have heaps and heaps of little follies developing, then you can have a very high E2 and be overstimmed. HTH.
Hello Neptune darlink, lovely to see you, and thank you for your answer x
Scan went well I guess, 8 (L) + 9 (R) with 5 being mature over 14 or 12 mm (I can't remember), so tonights phone call, with my E2 results, and the fs's opinion of my US results will confirm EPU day, and trigger details.
I am now getting on the rollercoaster, starting to really hope one of those follicals contains that magic little egg
