hey girls, how is everyone going?
WLB hope you're travelling well, thats fantastic news about your numbers, am praying all goes smoothly this week, will be thinking of you.
Dutchie, how are you feeling this week? Not long now! What dose are you starting with? Hoping we'll all have fabulous news in the next few weeks
M2C hope all is well, have you just started a new cycle?
Infinity, your new protocol sounds interesting and I'm so glad your FS has been so encouraging. Hopefully it will be a easier cycle with a positive outcome!
Loula & Bec my thoughts are with you both, hoping that you're well and in a better place this week xxxxxx
Buliej how are you going honey?
Toby welcome to the forum :) hope you're feeling better and I'm glad you got a chance to extend your holiday leave.
AFM have been pre-occupied with lawyers and horrible legal stuff, so haven't been able to post. Its been a very emotional time for us and I'm so glad I decided to take a month off. Having said that AF is due tomorrow or Friday (I think) so will be back in the saddle so to speak. I have mixed feelings about this cycle, tired, nervous, angry, excited, so over ttc.... But on a positive note, I wanted to thank you all for the support you've given me, you're such an amazing group of women and I hope all our prayers are answered soon :pink-babydust:
-
hi everyone...sending you the best, hope you are doing OK...thinking of you all, just not really posting much at the moment
Emma
-
Hi all,
M2C - you are more than welcome! I really hope things are on the up for you this week.
Possums - hi, thanks for checking on us. I was so sorry to hear that you have yet more hurdles to overcome. Hope the medication is doing it's job and you are feeling better. xx
Cuddlepie - not sure if you've started your cycle yet but hoping all is going well.
hollybolly - hope your current cycle is going well and the purgeon is not giving you any trouble.
Dutchie - we are nearly ready to go again. I just want to get going now *stamps foot*. :bluedust::pink-babydust: for you!
WLB - hoping you have some fab eggs for EPU this week (maybe it's today??) Best of luck, I'm thinking of you. xx
Toby - There is so many reason's why a lot of IVFer's dont get their BFP first go. mostly the first cycle is a trial & error, seeing how you respond - and sometimes it doesn't even result in a transfer. Then if you are lucky enough to get to transfer I think each transfer has a success rate of less than 30% - and that's if EVERYTHING is as it should be! Sometimes I think of just how much has to be exactly right to result in a pregnancy and wonder how anyone gets pregnant at all! It's really an amazing thing.
Anyos - it must be a very traumatic time for you right now. Hoping you get the outcome you are after. I feel the same as you about my upcoming cycle, but have suprised myself that excitement seems to be the emotion that is most predominant.
Loula - thinking of you and hoping you are recovering well.
Hello to everyone else.
-
HI ladies
thanks for all your thoughts and kind words.
my head is hurting so much and i dont know if it is hormonal, stress, reaction to antibiotics, the fact that i can not get any sleep (and i am trying) or from reducing my predsolone?
I cant even get though the day without forgetting what i was talking about five min earlier! so i will not attempt to do any personnel post (sorry)
Im still experiancing some discomfort and have to say this is the worst recovery from a D&C that i have ever had, i hope this is not an implication that there is either something left or i have developed AS. This was my 6th D&C (i did think it was my 7th but i am pretty sure it is num 6)
I guess i will get to the weekend and see if i am still uncomfortable, then discuss with my FS, sometimes it hurts to walk other times it is a pain on my c scar line (from open ectopic surgery, not birth). the pain is on either side of my belly button an di also have thought maybe this is my uterus shrinking down again????? I am still spotting on and off
Any suggestions would be welcomed.
GL to all thoese growing eggies - i believe holly and WLAB are the only two.
Wishing you all that long awaited child to ador very soon.
-
Hi girls,
WLAB- sending you lots of :bluedust: and :stickyvibesgirl: I hope your EPU went well and you have lots of eggs! Wishing you the very best for your TF.
infinity- woohoo not long to go now hun thanks for the :pink-babydust: sending you lots of :bluedust: and :stickyvibesboy: too, I'll be cheering you on. Hoping to get a Sept cycle in but I might have to sit it out and do an Oct cycle instead due to financial reasons- so annoying grrr...I so want to be cycling yesterday too! especially with the changes to the safety net in Jan.
anyos- feeling not too bad atm, I'm just hoping I have the funds in time to do a Sept cycle or else I'll have to wait another month which sux big time but what can you do...hoping we can still be cycle buds though. I'll start on the maximum dose of 450 which is the usual for me and I'll be on clomid next cycle too. What dose do they have you on hun?
M2C- Thinking of you always sweets, I hope your travelling well. I've posted in your blog hun. I'm hoping I can do a Sept cycle but as I mentioned earlier may have to put it off until Oct because of that root of all evils...money. So frustrating but I guess that's how the cookie crumbles.
toby- Glad to hear your feeling better and that you have been able to increase your long service leave that's something atleast. Wishing you the best for your FS appt.
Loula- Sorry to hear you are so uncomfortable after d&c, hoping it will ease soon for you. Thinking of you.
A big :hello: to Holly, Possums, CPie, Bec and Bridget, hope your all well and apologies if I've missed you.
-
Hello loverlie ladies
Loula; I hope your pain is settling, and you dont wait until Monda to go to the gp to get checked, you really have had a hard month or two and things can only get better from here
Infinity; I love your new cycle and think it is a very good idea, I am going with that approach if I need to in the future, they are quite big on that type of cycle for older women on the american chat rooms
mum2c; I think from your sig your af has started, if so, I hope it made it in time to start your cycle this month
toby; how old are you sweets? tell us a bit more about your art history, if you feel like it, I hope you are feeling better as the days go on
anyos; how are you travelling, have you got your legal stuff sorted,
Hi to Bulliej, Possums, Cpie, Bec and Holly (so sorry if I have missed anyone)
AFM; EPU went well, thank you for all your well wishes. 27 eggs picked up, our first time using ISCI, so I am nervous to hear our fert results later this afternoon, I know it's a lot of eggs, and I dont want to seem ungrateful, I just need that golden egg, and am praying it's in this little basket. Going for a Blast transfer x 2 next Monday
Come on little eggie and swimmers, divide and conquor !!
-
Congratulations WLAB, that's a great number and hope they are going strong and have a great fert report this afternoon, everything is crossed for you!
Loula, I am so sorry to hear the difficult time you've been having, that really sux! As if the fact m/c is not heartbroken enough, you have to endure the uncomfortableness afterwards. I hope time will help to heal the wounds hun...just a big squashy hug
Hello to all the lovely ladies, I won't even attempt to do any personals....just a big :hello: and I will be here watchinge everyone keenly....
-
Cpie, thank you for your support.
You have two frostie's like me, and I was wondering why your delaying doing a fet, is it because you want to bank frosties (hopefully) ?
-
Kind of...now we have the deadline of Jan 2010, who know what changes will bring?! So I thought I'd prefer to do another stim cycle by the end of the year to take the advantage of the safety net. Also because it will be my 1st cycle with Dr S using immune suppressive therapy, he suggested to do a full stim cycle which he said has best chance. I have to say it did cross my mind that why can't I do a FET using this therapy but again I read in Dr Alan Beer's book that high NK cells could affect the quality of the eggs, so I am keen to see any difference from this cycle.
-
Oh I am feeling sad after the nurse's phone call :(
6 fertilising after 17 inseminated is not the result I was hoping for
They have left me in waiting with the report on the other 5 slow growers until tommorow
I need to get to Blast - and at my last cycle I had 12 fert and only had 3 viable Blasts
Im loosing my mojo for IVF :(
-
WLB hang in there honey, 6 fertilising is fantastic news and you might have 11 by tomorrow! Am sure you'll get to Blastie stage, will be thinking of you tomorrow fingers & toes crossed xxxx
Dutchie we're in the same boat re funds, but thankfully part of my redundancy might come through soon. I think I'm on 300 Puregon and a higher dose of the trigger. I've also been on DHEA for 3 months now so hopefully that will make a difference. Hope we can be cycle buds :)
Infinity thank you for you kind words. It is hard but we're nearly there, we'll hoping the court will order a mediation session in the next two months and that will get us closer to finalising the case. How are you going?
Loula I've had 2 c-sections and had quite a lot of discomfort afterwards. I still have odd shooting pains and over time have discovered that often the scar tissue develops into lesions. Once you're feeling better and have been given the all clear, try gently massaging oil on both sides of the scar, apparently castor oil is the best. I've just used olive oil and along with Pilates its made the world of difference. xxx
Hello to everyone else, have been thinking of you all xxx
AFM was silly enough to POAS this morning because I'm a day late (or not depending on my calculations at 5 am!) I'm not sure if I'm an eternal optomist or just a sucker for punishment...if only it were that easy!!!
-
Hi girls, just a quickie update from me, we will be getting back on the rollercoaster this month after all paid the account today so now we just wait for AF.
I believe this will be our last IVF too (for a while atleast anyway), I don't think I can handle any more cycles esp if this next one does not result in a TF like my last 2 haven't, it's too heartbreaking. DP went to see a surgeon a little over a week ago and we heard back from him today and we are going to get his obstruction operated on. The doc we see is a private doctor so I don't think we'll have to wait that long to get in, he said to call him back when we have finished our cycle. I'm really happy because I was starting to lose faith that IVF would work for us esp with my pitiful responses and not getting to TF for the last 2 cycles.
The doctor we will see we have been advised is very, very good and I suppose if anyone can fix him it will be this guy, he's really down to earth and very experienced, he operates on testicles all day, that's all he does. He believes that DP's blockage is quite minor anyway and said that some sperm are still getting through. Obvioulsy there is the chance that it may not work and we have been warned but we're prepared to take that risk.
So that's the plan forward for now, I will put my all into this next IVF and hope for a miracle but we will make this surgery our priority when the cycle is done.
That's about it for now, I'm looking forward to the future now and what it may have in store for us, we shall see and I will still be here to support each and everyone of you and cheer you on to your BFP's that you all so deserve.
Take care and :bluedust: and :stickyvibesgirl: to you all.

Hi girls
Hope everyone is having a nice relaxing weekend
I had a call from the embryologist that they thought it was best I move transfer to yesterday, Sat ! As I had two DAY 3 embies at 8 and 5 cell, and the other 3 where looking tired, at 1 & 2 & 3 cell, (I cannot remember the cell count really) anyway,
In I went, we have an 8 & 5 cell onboard.
The other 3 embryo's did not meet the criterior for a Day 3 AM freeze, so I said to freeze them in the PM if poss at Day 3, and if they didn't meet the PM freezing criteria, to not dicard them, try to grow them to Blast. It's a long shot, and I doubt, they will get there. At least we tried .. You never know ..
So FC for 5 & 8 cell, I managed to get to accupuncture straight after transfer, and I layed on the couch all day yesterday, I thought it cant hurt. In America, some of the FS's are telling the girls bed rest for 72 hours, so it really is a personal decision. I had the luxury of it being Sat though. One other thing, I was the last lady in for ET, and I heard the embryologist say "lucky last" .... I hope it's a good omen
-
All the best WLB..I truly hope it's your turn..:stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:
-
WLAB, I truely hope that the ones on board are the golden eggs you are waiting for hun...its a bit disappointing you don't have anything to freeze this time to add to your frosties but hey let's hope you don't need them anymore. I heard about lying in bed for certain hours after transfer, so I think you did the right thing. I am hoping my TF will be falling on Saturday so I can have the luxury too...
Now we wait patiently...
-
Hey girls
just popping in to let you all know that i am thinking of you all xxx
just a quick shout out to WLB- sending you lots of sticky vibes hun, fingers crossed you wont need any frosties cos this is the one :)
and another quick shout out to dutchie, hope af arrives so you can start your cycle. i will be here holding your hand
and also infintity i hope your ok? your doing a september cycle arent you? fingers crossed for you xxx
anyos- dont worry hun i went and peed on a stick too, how silly as if it was going to be positive!!! stupid af still hasnt shown up nearly 2 wks late.
i may not be posting much lately but i am always reading and following you all
lots of love. fingers crossed we start getting some BFP in here. there are a few of you in here cycling so i think we will get lots and lots of BFP :)
-
Thank you so much for your support girls, it means a lot to me :grouphug:
-
Hi girls,
WLAB- Wishing you the stickiest sticky vibes, hope it's your turn.
Well I'm ready to start again, AF arrived today bang on again which is reassuring. Nurses tell me tomorrow will be CD1 as she arrived after lunch and will call me tomorrow with my schedule. I guess dreaded FSH tests on Tues and start stims and clomid shortly after. I might lay low for this one and just stick to posting in my blog.
Thank you to everyone for your support and encouraging words it means a great deal to me.
-
Morning!
Loula, I've only had the one D&C and it was so traumatic. I was as uncomfortable as you described, even a week after I had recurring pain, bleeding and it hurt to walk. I got checked out and all was fine, just a bit of a difficult recovery. We all recover differently. Are you having a check up? I'd arrange a check up just to ease your mind. Hoping things ease up for you soon. xx
Dutchie - Woohoo for AF arriving! Will stalk your blog for all the news. AF hasn't arrived for me yet, I am NEVER late but it figures being that I'm keen to get started that the biatch doesn't show on time! Best of luck for this cycle......love your friendly stalker hehe
WLB- Congratulations for two on board!!!!! Your two little bubba's sound wonderful! All the luck in the world this cycle, your turn is waaaaay overdue. Will be thinking of you and can't wait to hear your BFP news. When is your BT?
anyos - you said you POAS but didn't tell us the outcome! Am assuming BFN? Are you cycling when AF arrives?
Cuddlepie, M2C, toby, possums and everyone else, hope all is great.
-
infinity- Damn AF, shows up when you don't want and is late when you really want her to show...so frustrating, I know you just want to get started. Sending you many AF vibes...c'mon AF. Hopefully shes not too far away.
Quick question- for those that have or are taking royal jelly, is it ok to take during stims or should it be stopped? TIA
-
Hi lovely ladies, still stalking you daily and wishing all the best for you all. I say each of your names in my prayers every night.
WLAB, I have everything crossed for your two lovely embies on board.
Thinking of you all xx
-
Dutchie, I have been taking royal jelly and haven't stopped. I think its very mild supplyment and don't think it will have major interruptions on the meds. But its just me...;)
thanks Babydreamtime for popping in....
-
Thanks heaps CPie, was hoping I didn't have to stop as I've only been taking it for about 4 weeks.
BDT- You're a darl, thanks for your prayers. Wishing you the very best for your gender scan tomorrow, will be stalking you for updates.
Just had a call from the nurses, FSH test tomorrow, start clomid 100mg on wednesday, gonal f 225iu (eeek hope it's enough) friday and first stim scan on mon 14th. Off to update blog.
-
sounds good Dutchie, glad you are starting now...best of luck for this cycle...
-
Ive missed you all, have been taking a break from everything this last week to get my head screwed on right.
dutchie - hoping everything goes well for you this cycle
wlab - yay for two bubbas on board. I am praying so hard for you xx
afm - we have our clinic appointment tomorrow with our specialist and the scientific director. We have decided that we will give it one last attempt and that will be it for the time being. We do definitely need a real break from all of this, our lives have been turned upside down, and i need to get back to being the real me, not just the shadow of the person who is depressed all of the time. So if this cycle (and any frosties) dont work, we will give it a rest for a year or two. At least thats the plan.
But one more ivf, so I need to throw absolutely everything into it - acupuncture, weight loss, i have changed jobs to reduce stress... I so desperately want this to work - at least to get to transfer so I have a shot at it.
-
good morning ladies,
WLB praying for you honey, hope this is the one! xxxx
Dutchie, hope you're well, good luck with the blood test today :)
Bec how are you travelling? I know what you mean about throwing everything into it, we're in the same boat. Good luck with the specialist.
Infinity, hope all is well. Yep the outcome was negative, we've just started a new cycle!
M2C have been thinking of you, hope all is well.
Lots of love and :bluedust: for everyone else xxx
AFM AF arrived yesterday and I had my Lucerin this morning. Had a meltdown with SIVF last night because they 'forgot' to send me my pack with dosages etc. About to ring them and give them hell :wall: But other than that, on 300 Puregon and I think I continue with the Lucerin as well. Feeling much calmer, lets see how long it lasts ;)
-
Hi girls,
Bec- Very BOL for your next cycle, hope your appt goes well.
anyos- Give 'em hell, we pay them so much the least they could do is to be on top of things, it's not like we're there to be prescribed antibiotics! My clinic rang today and the nurse I spoke to yesterday gave me the wrong start date for my gonal, starting on Thurs now and not Fri grrrr, tad frustrating but have to remain calm. Very BOL with this cycle cycle bud.
FSH test today revealed fsh is acceptable to start so first dose of clomid tomorrow, gonal f 225iu thurs and first scan on mon 14th with a blood test straight after.
Now really off to update blog, had a few computer dramas yesterday! :wall:
A big :hello: to all you lovely gals, hope things are travelling well.
-
Hi Ladies :D
I'm so sorry I'm non existent in here... sometimes I just remember to update my journal, & then get so sidetracked I forget other threads
Just wanted to send mountains of :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesboy: to you WLAB
Sometimes day 2/3 transfers are best... (we did a day 2 transfer this cycle for the first time)....theres enough ladies on BB to prove the results after not having success with their blasties, so lots of love to you... hoping those little ones are snuggling in tight xxx
Dutchie - Thanks so much for popping in to my journal, hoping everything was great to start yesterday ;)
BTW I took the Royal Jelly for the month leading up to stims starting, and all the way through stims... it didn't effect BT results etc at all - DH took it the whole time as well.
We're still taking it - if this cycle isn't successful its been in our systems for the next one!
Bec - So glad to hear you're doing better & nice to have a plan... Lots of strength & love for this next cycle & take it easy on yourself xxx
For everyone else at different stages - all of my love & best wishes for you all xxx
Maybe if I pop in here more I can keep up to date better with personals
AFM - We had EPU on Monday - had 9 eggs collected, 8 were viable for ICSI & had 5 fertilise.
We had 2 x A grade cells transferred in on Wednesday - haven't heard from the clinic today yet but yesterday the other 3 were progressing well & fairly evenly all between 6-8cell.
The three still growing are B grade as they had some slight fragmentation.
This is our best cycle by far in regards to egg quality & numbers with all 5 still looking good at day 3 - we have never had A grades either, as they've always had some slight fragmentation.
Seeing as how I only took half the dosages of luveris I was supposed to (that drama is in my journal, its too long to put in here!) - I'm not sure if I can thank the luveris... or if I can thank the royal jelly ;)
Interesting too - we had 9 eggs collected, transfer was on 9/9/09 at approx 9am!!!
Feeling fairly ok about this cycle - I wasn't confident at all the past few weeks but just crossing my fingers & trying not to think about it for the next week & a bit!!!
Lots of love to everyone xxxxxxxxx
-
Hi loverlies,
Holly- All those 9's wow, hoping it brings you lots of luck. Hopefully you're going to be busy for the next 9 months hehe (& beyond) Sending you some more :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy: And thanks for the advice re: royal jelly, I intend to take it during stims too and DP is on it too.
anyos- how are you travelling hun? Hope you sorted dramas out with SIVF and told them to lift their game.
A big hello to everyone else, have to run, my laptop is making funny noises.
Well I was about 20 mins late for my second gonal dose. I have my alarm set so I don't forget and DP had the damn thing on silent. Hoping it'll be fine, I was only a lil' bit late afterall whoopsie.
-
Holly that's fantastic news!!! Fingers, toes and everything else crossed for you xxxxx
Dutchie, how are you going with everything? Have you had gonal before? Got everything sorted out with SIVF, about five people including my FS rang to make sure that everything's ok and I now have the same nurse assigned to do my bloods for the rest of the cycle. Yes, it was a major tantrum!!! Felt a little off with the drugs yesterday but better today. I've been on bee pollen as well, hoping that along with the DHEA, wheatgrass, accupunture, hypnotherapy and 5000 other things gets us across the line
-
anyos- glad it's all sorted now. Having the same nurse for bloods etc would be good, saves a lot of confusion and now you can just concentrate on getting preggers! You're certainly going the whole hog with supplements, I must get me some more wheatgrass, I reckon it did help to keep my fsh down and not fluctuate so much.
I've had gonal before, infact I've only ever used gonal in previous cycles but this time I'm on half the dose I normally am at 225iu which is good. I just hope it's enough to do the trick. I guess I'll know Monday if we need to up the dose or not. Anyway so far so good with this cycle I'm chugging along nicely and have so far, been able to remain fairly calm and just go with the flow.
-
Hello everyone!
Hollybolly - fantastic news and results so far! Congrats for two on board. Fingers crossed this cycle is the one :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:
anyos - best of luck for your new cycle. There are a few of us with embies on board or cycling right now so things should get very exciting in here in the coming weeks.
Dutchie - glad everything seems to be going along well. Hoping this is the cycle for you. xx
BecD - hoping your appointment the other day went well. I understand your feelings of needing to be yourself again. Hopefully your upcoming cycle brings you your BFP.
WLAB - hope your TWW is going along quickly - stick little bubba's stick!!!
much love to everyone else!!
AFM - AF finally arrived yesterday - nearly a week late WTF?? anyway, called the clinic, parted with much of our hard-earned cash and ready to get going. As my cycle this time is a new protocol the nurses had nothing to tell me yet - I rang over a week ago to talk to them and make sure they had all the details so there wouldn't be delays, but wouldn't you know it - NOTHING is on my file - no-one can tell me what to do. Nurses were supposed to call back yesterday - BUT DIDN'T!! Am feeling a bit uneasy now...... Don't you love it how someone is always available for you to pay for a cycle - and it's the first thing you have to do before they will even talk to you:wall: Anyways, fingers crossed they can get their act together and get me a BFP in about 4 weeks time!
-
infinity- Yeeha on AF arriving and wishing you the very BOL with this new cycle. I hope the changes you're doing this cycle are just what you need for that sticky BFP. I'll be stalking you all the way to the end.
anyos- How are you travelling hun? You must be due for a stim scan soon.
Holly- Things are certainly sounding very positive so far. When is your BT hun, I don't think your siggy says.
:hello: to everyone else, hope things are well with you all.
-
hope you are all going along well....may BFPs be just around the corner...
Emma
-
bad news today :(
Had my scan and theres one big follicle (21), a medium (15) and a small (5). My FS doesnt' want to put us through EPU with these numbers, although we can if we want. So have gone with option 2, trigger tonight and try naturally with some additional luteal support over the weekend.
Feeling numb, this doesn't bode well and am not sure where we go from here.
And to top it all off, I'm going to be helping a friend with her stall at the Baby Show this weekend.....
-
anyos hunni, I'm so sorry, I hadn't checked this thread before I PMed you. This journey just sux sometimes. I hope you are able to achieve a miracle anyway. We will do the same since I'm already ovulating but don't know if we have much of a chance naturally since DP has MF issues (very low count but his doc believes some are still getting through though I can't imagine there would be many), I guess it's still worth a shot, stranger things have happened. Huge ((hugs)) to you hun, I'll be thinking of you and please let me know if you want to chat.
-
Right back at you Dutchie, am thinking of you both tonight. Remember the egg can stay alive for 24 hours so there's still hope! Hoping we'll all get there soon, bring on the BFP's!
xxx
-
anyos - so sorry this has happened. Best of luck for trying naturally. Sending you strength to get through this weekend too. x
Dutchie - you're ovulating? what the - have I missed something?? off to check your blog..... hoping you are ok.
WLB - all the luck in the world for BT tomorrow. I will be thinking of you and hoping with all my might that it's a BFP for you tomorrow. xx
Hi to everyone else. Much love xxx
AFM: Scan this morning - day 6, all looking as it should be with a few follies on each side. Injections start tonight and another scan on Sunday. I'm scared with this new protcol I'll ovulate before they can stop it....wait and see I suppose.
-
Thanks infinity, yes BT yesterday showed I was ovulating already so they cancelled. FS will call back today so I'm interested to hear what the next step is if there even is one. Sooo bummed but I suppose this game of IVF is so much trial and error and such an imperfect science still, I guess setbacks are a given esp with my high fsh.
Your cycle seems to be progressing nicely, really good to hear, I'll be continuing to follow your progress and wishing you the very best.
anyos- hope you were able to catch that egg hun and I hope your feeling a lil' better today.
-
Dutchie how did you go with the FS? Hoping it was constructive and you got some options for the future.
Infinity, great to hear all is progressing well. Hoping you have some fantastic eggs cooking!
WLB :crossfingers: thinking of you!
AFM feeling a little better but v sore from trigger injection. Its in the hands of the gods now ...
