Ms Pink - did you have test for NK cells? I tried searching but couldn't find
Was just wondering because you talk a lot about antibodies etc. My FS tests patients after repeated IVF failure. I think he is probably the most knowlegable with this stuff. If people have these NK (natural killer) cells, they are usually put on a Prednisone etc protocol. The test involves a very detailed BT and a biopsy taken from the Uterus around day 22 of the cycle.

Hi everyone...haven't been on the net for a few days and there's so much going on in here.
Fingers x'ed for the TWW.
Hi Meredith, gosh you poor luv. How have you been the last couple of days. From reading the posts I would tend to agree with MsPink, and that is if your embies are good and freezable and you know the endo is bad, I would think about freezeing the better ones. And yes there is still always hope that something can happen if a ET has taken place.
MsPink how are you travelling, are you having your ET on Monday?
AFM - AF came early which I am happy about as it means we can start our cylce earlier. So start the pill Wednesday and wait for further details of when to stat synarel. I am so ready for this cycle, very hopeful that I get some really good eggies - a couple to put back as embies and some to go into the freezer. Wow not asking much am I !!!!!
Chat soon
Hope
Hi all
Meredith - hang in there love. have been thinking of you over the weekend.
Hope - gald that af showed for you too.
MsP - woohooo TFering soon GL cant wait to join you in the tww!
sorry i haven't updated any of you for a while - i umed and ared about posting TBH as i get scared that i jinx myself - lol
AF arrived about 12 days ago and wasn't around for very long! i used ap to bring it on. so gave the clinic a call and had my frist US on Thursday, which as suspected showed nothing! so going back on Tuesday for another scan to see if i have O'd.
Silly i know but not holding onto much hope for this cycle as im using frozen embies from 2006 batch which are day 2 and have never had raised HCG from! If they thaw :crossfingers::pray:we are trying to do a natural cycle but my PCOS is going nuts at the moment as my diet has been terrible! too much cake and wine over Christmas and the New Year. I have stacked on 8kg all up now! my BB are sore all the time and i had the worst PMT before af finally came. eeerrrrr!
Just got back from a lovely weekend away so will try to catch up on where everyone had been at.
Hope - glad AF was good for once and arrived when she was wanted. Praying this is the "one" cycle for you.
Loula - silly ovaries not doing what they are supposed to. Lets hope next scan shows something more exciting
Lulu - praying yo have something good for ET tomorrow. Will be thinking of you
AFM - we have 2 blasts on board. The clinic had pretty much made the choice before i even got there, to put the 2 best ones in. Discussed it with embryologist and she said that they don't freeze straight away - still watch them for a bit so still no guarantee that even the best would even be frozen. Dr also thought I sould just go with ET as per "normal" regardless of lining. Monash IVF has VERY, VERY strict freezing criteria and given none frozen from my last cycle, guess wouldn't want to lose something that still could stick as a fresh transfer, despite my bad feeling. We have 2 other early blasts so just praying maybe at least one makes it to freeze
Not 100% sure I am happy with the decision kind of made for us but I am also a bit relieved to have someone else just make it for me this time. I am bit tired of all the mental stress of all this stuff so it really was a weight lifted to just do what "i was told" for once.
I also feel better after asking my Dr if i can go straight into another cycle if i get AF in another 10 days. If we have any frosties then will do FSH OI / FET cycle ( rather than HRT given i don't cycle naturally). If no frosties then may do a few IUI cycles as I think my body needs the more "natural" cycling rather than huge stim of IVF , then crash to nothing on a month off when my body does nothing on its own
Anyway, the TWW madness will begin shortly I am sure!
Hi Lulu,
Just dropping in to send you :goodluck:, thinking of you.
Sara
Lulu, best luck for ET today sweetie. Guess what, mine is on 5th Feb. We will be TWW buddies again. I hope this time, both of us will have better luck.
Hi Lovelies,
Thanks for all your good wishes and support.
I was sooooo hopeful that my embies were doing so well. They got to morula but by day 5 still not blastie. Yup am very bummed. Had the 2 put in and knew the other 2 wouldnt make it for freezing - as confirmed today.
Am trying to hold my head up and stay positive - but man it's hard.
CP - am very happy you're joining me..and hope your wishes for both of us come thru.
Hi girls, just lost my post, will get back later, family coming for dinner. TWW doing head in. BT thurs, no hopeful, no symptoms.
Best best luck for those with "embies on board" and starting cycles.
Lulu - of so sorry no blast darl. Parying that the two in you just a touch slow but may still make it. This trip is just hell and you have lived it far harder than many. Parying the TWW treats you ok
S&P - Oly oe more day for BT. You can do it!! Are you going to do HPT?
Still another week until BT for me sot rying not to read anything into what I feel/don't feel. Don't trust my body at all on all these drugs
Meredith - please to "hear" you sound a bit better. goodluck for BT
Sara69 - I will prob do antagonist next, maybe we will go together
Hope - taking dad to sorrento, I love it down there, esp the view of the boatsonthe water as you drive through blairgowrie
Ms P - good luck with them on board, hopefuly they will be much more comfy and go like crackers
Cp = hope ET goes great today, good sticky luck
Loula - good luck w frostie, you never know. Am feeling my overindulgence, fat, flabby, frumpy and > 40. Still I have good hair, so thats redeeming.
MelBel - Hi, how are you going? Is it hot in Langwarrin too?
MummaW - Hi, thanks for posting in thyroid thread! Am quite chuffed about it, like mother hen.
Smithy - hi, good luck w FET!
Mollygirl - Hi, hope you are going well. Good luck for FET.
BW - thanks for encouragement, always nice to see your posts.
AFM - Of course I did POAS! can never resist. was negative. I got a heap of tests from pregnow, so cheap. The Neg kind of cushioned the fall as I didn't expect anything from this one originally, but you get your hopes up. HCG = 4, BFN.
Also I am taking my Dad away for the weekend and very apprehensive. He has early onset alzeheimers and seems to be going down hill v fast. Heartbreaking, as if my heart could take anymore. So sad to watch.
Another biochemical. Shi!t. Am feeling really sad this morning. Does anyone know anyone who has had heaps of biochemicals like me and went on to success. I could really use a cheer up story right now.
S&P - Sorry is no enough for how you are feeling today. It just all really sucks!! With your dad on top of TTC I am not suprised if you are a bit of a mess. I hope you have someone with you today who can be a shoulder to lean on... you need it!
Wish I could give some stories re chemical pgs but i don't personally know any. However i am sure they are out there!!
I am wondering, however how an HCG of 4 can be considered chemical pg. Anything below 5 is considered 0 at my clinic and some women will just have some low levels floating around even when nothing to do with TTC. I know i quite often have a "baseline" level around 2-4 when i defnitely can't be pg.
Have you got an appt wit FS to discuss all this soon?
S&P - I'm so sorry about the BFN. It sucks and nothing (esp experience) makes it any easier.
All I can say right now is - thank goodness for good hair!!!'
Enjoy the weekend with your Dad. It must be horrendous for you to watch him now. Hopefully as he is in the early stages, you will get some quality time with him.
Take care sweetie..
Hi Meredith - yeah it probably wasn't a biochemical, being a bit dramatic. I am coming to thinking that the most likely problem is the most ordinary one, ie egg/ embryo quality. Saw FS last week and he reckons I still have good chance.
Ms Pink - thanks for your message, made sure I ducked out and got blow dry at Sorrento too!!
AFM - feeling much better this week, have started antagonist cycle, with lower FSH to avoid OHSS this time. Weekend with Dad went so much better than I expected. He was great and I even got a sleep in while he and DD had a play. Dad is soooo much better without Mum around, he gets a bit muddled but is good comapny and we didn't do much. I only turned into Mum once (very scary, got to watch that) and nagged him, but then I was big enough to apologise, and then next day we made a joke of it. Was nice to hang out with him. We were all in a bit of shock with the news about the bushfires here, and continue to be every time the news is on. Appreciating life right now.
S&P - so glad you enjoyed your Daddy bonding weekend...and soooo glad you had a good hair day..
Just wanted to let you lovelies know that I got AF 3days early... so failure once again for me..
Ms P - bugger, you poor thing, so unfair. thinking of you
