    Clinic in Rozelle

    Hi BW,

Was it the clinic in Rozelle that you went to? Did you find the ladies very helpful?

I am booked to see them next week (starting ICSI the following week). I too want to do acupuncture right before the ET and straight after. I read about the "German protocol" and the study done with 160 IVF/ICSI patiences. The results were impressive, it boosted the success rates a bit and that alone, got me interested.

    Thank you,

    El

Yep, it was the clinic in Rozelle. The girls there are fantastic and have been such a great support to me through the whole wretched process. Because I have a drive of about an hour to get there, we'd generally only have acupuncture after embryo transfers.

We always did day five transfers, but for this fresh cycle we had to transfer early as we didn't get many embryos. We didn't move the acupuncture appointment, so it was two days after ET - but all has worked out!

Even if they did nothing to help the process work, they kept me calmer, and with my anxiety problems, it was well worth it!

    Hi El,

I go to the clinic in Rozelle as well, thanks for the tip from BW...I have so far done about 5 sessions and I found Leah (the lady who treats me) is delightful. I only just started my natural FET cycle, so I plan to do the same. Weekly appointments, then before and after the ET.

Good luck with your ICSI cycle El and we will compare notes later this month...

    Hi,

I was just wondering if you could tell me the price for the Rozelle Clinic. I have just started going to a fertility acupuncture specialist in Chatswood.

I pay $135 for the acupuncture and $130 for TCM a week. I find this a bit expensive but have never been to acupuncture b4 so have nothing to compare it to.

Ruth, which side of Brissy are you? I know a fantastic one who specialises in fertility in Cannon Hill called Jasmine Paris at Pinpoint Health centre. Also my bf is going to one on the south east side who lives in Forest Lake...

Tam, the one in Rozelle charge initial consultation $90 and $60 per session thereafter. TCM for a week is $35. The one in Chatswood do sounds a bit expensive.

Tam, I can't remember the price of an initial consultation at Rozelle (way too long ago!), but follow up appointments are $60. Any herbs that you may need are extra, I don't think I paid more than $90 if I needed herbs, but it's not something we did very often for me.

Ruthy - I don't know if you have already found someone in Brissy... but in Indooroopilly, Beau at Positive Balance is fantastic! Highly recommended and a few women here use him. Good luck.
