I have just finished my first stimulated cycle with Sydney IVF. Went for blood test today and unfortunately it was negative. I knew it hadn't succeeded as I got my AF last night. I am so disappointed and my nurse told me from the test result the embryo hadn't even tried to implant. I will be having an FET in a month or so. Is this your first FET?

Hi Caroline, I am having my 1st FET at the moment, after the 1st failed stim cycle with Sydney IVF in April...
Sorry to hear your result Karen, my AF turned up 4 days before the b/t, so I wasn't even stand a chance in my 1st IVF cycle, similarly, my b/t showed HCG was below 2, so most likely implantation didn't happen...I was devasted at the time but got over it quite quickly, as they did say if the 1st cycle failed, you just fall into the majority category...
I did ask my FS if he needs to test further...but I guess I might jump the gun a bit, after all, its my 1st cycle...I am now in the middle of the 1st FET cycle, its only Day 10, so haven't had the transfer yet...will see...
Hi BeiBei, thanks for your reply, it's reassuring to know that others have gone through similar. It has crossed my mind to ask my FS if she needs to test further - what did your FS say when you asked?
My FS is Dr Khan.
What is involved in a FET cycle before the transfer?
I wish you all the luck in your ET. Im on my 11 day since having my ET. Have to wait another week for BT.
Ive had 1 DS throught IVF ( first time) and one neg FET and blastie transfer and that ended up being ectopic. Ive just done new cycle and now 1/2 way in my TWW.
Im having my first blood test tomorrow and l have started to spot (brown discharge & alittle blood) i guess this is bad news ??? can anyone help me with some of your past experiences !!
Karen, I asked my FS if I need immunological testing (which could prevent implantation happening) but he said no not at this stage...which is fair enough...1st cycle only
I am doing a natural cycle which require minimal effort really, its just b/t and scan monitoring when you are ovulating...then 5 days (depends on if your embie is blastie or not) after, transfer... of course, that didn't stop me worrying too much either...ie. if my endometrim thickness is good enough etc...anyway, hope time flies while your waiting...always seems a bit long when you are having a break...
Missy, didn't know you just had a FET as well...good luck, one week to go...by the way, what is your endometrim thickness at day 9/10? I had mine scan done on day 9, measuring 4mm, is that normal? FS didn't seem to mind, am I worrying over nothing here? Normally mid cycle (day 14) mine would measure like 8-9mm..
Karen - so sorry to hear your cycle didn't work, it's crushing when you find out hey. Good luck with the next one. How did you find Sydney IVF?
BeiBei - all the best - not long to go now. Who is your doctor at Sydney IVF. Have you got any advice for dealing with the process? I'm going to do the same natural cycle as you. Feels like a breeze after going through the full stimulated cycle doesn't it (except of course for the emotional side of things). I can't wait to get started. It always feels better to be doing something, rather than waiting.
Holding thumbs for you Missy!
Babyface, hope your blood test went OK. I've been told you can't always assume that a discharge means it hasn't worked, as some people do spot a little, so I hope it has turned out OK. Wait for the blood tests results to be sure.
